Hi,

#1 - Since I use an anonymous screen name in forums et al - I wrote up a document that I want to share anonymously in the MS Communities.  When I "Get Link" for a file that I share in Public Folder and then send that link out - people can't see my SkyDrive name ( which uses my formal name ) - however when they are done and click the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the viewable document/browser window they get to see my full name and then they can click around and see a bunch of other profile metadata about me that I don't want them seeing.  This is just a rudimentary test I did with a co-worker and they verified that you can see User data. I think you should allow SkyDrive users to post anonymously.  Right now  I dont like or want this - can you fix this ?

#2 - Also how much file metadata is shared this way ?  For eg. in Windows I see File Properties which has a lot of metadata that goes along with a file - how much of this makes its way into SkyDrive when you share it via a "Get Link" (URL) - and how much is shared when the document is made "Public" ?  As you can guess I would rather not have to worry about scrubbing/changing a file's metadata when I'd like to share it anonymously...

I am using SkyDrive for Web, I just downloaded SkyDrive app for Windows 7 system I have here and I also have the SkyDrive app on WindowsPhone8.  However for this discussion I am using SkyDrive for Web which is where I noticed this behavior.

Until you can fix #1 and answer/fix #2 this I will be testing DropBox, Box and GoogleDrive to see if they also reveal user data or they allow truly anonymous posting to protect user identity.  I think its fair that you reveal your findings for all SkyDrive apps in this context of anonymity.. I cant believe that I am the only person whose asking about this..

Thanks

Out of the blue when hit reply to an email the response screen went into a sub-text mode. Why? and how do I get it back to normal?
Can the tech-support person give me an address to send a test email to?  If I post it here, with three different fonts appearing in a brief email I sent after I'd verified that both the font of the body of the message and the signature font were set at Arial 12, the formatting of this help forum returns all the text to a single font.
I've been having issues getting into my email account from my computer since switching over to Outlook.  I can get on from cell phone (finally), but not from my computer.  I forgot to update my email address when my "alternate email" company changed over from Verizon to Frontier, so I cannot get in to update that information.

I can reset the password on the computer, but once I'm logged in, it wants to send a "validation" email to a non-existent email address that I can't update after resetting the password (that by the way after going thru pages of filling out all kinds of information they sent a link to another email address, but didn't update the old email address, just sent me a password update link, which I used, but again, once I log in, it takes me directly to the "Account" menu NOT MY FREAKING email!  It also tells me:

We have a waiting period for the updates to take effect. On 10/31/2013, we'll delete your old security info:

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Once this is deleted, you'll be able to verify your account with info you have access to. If you didn't make the updates, or if you still have access to the above info, cancel the updates.  Then there's a "submit" button.  I CAN'T get to my email!

I'm a paid hotmail subscriber, so getting this fixed should not be so cumbersome.  What do I need to do?  I've had this email address every since I got my first computer and do not want to have to change it now.  Is there someone to contact by phone to resolve this problem since I'm a paid subscriber?

I have seen this question posted last year, but wanted to see if there is an updated answer.

The standard colour scheme is very difficult to read on a laptop and it can't be that difficult for Microsoft to allow users to darken the font. Does anyone have any ideas if this can now be done?

Thank you
After reading my inbox and deleting them they are usually in the trash until I empty it. The trash is emptying automatically. How to I stop this from happening? Bought new computer and installed Outlook 2010 on new computer but worked fine on old computer.
I cant access my main email address wich has all my important emails from university's and colleges for next year i use to access it on my phone my laptop and some differant computers from my school i answered the online survay and received an email saying that i hadnt answered enough questions wich i actualy had no answer to since i dont have xbox live since 2 years ago and i didnt put anny credit cards on it so im honestly so desprate right now HELP !!
I was looking for some old mails earlier and noticed that they're gone. I've been active on my hotmail account and I have mails dating back at least 6 years that have just disappeared.

This is extremely frustrating as I am looking for serial numbers that were sent to me for software purchases that I'd kept in my inbox that have now just vanished along with years of mail.

Please don't patronise me with instructions on retrieving deleted items or with comments about how frequently I need to log on, because that is just going to make me even madder than I already am.

Get my mail back ASAP!

3 days ago I received a Server Error 5102 Live Mail Error ID:0x8DE00002.  It has persisted even though I created a new Hotmail account which allowed me to send and receive messages for about 1 hour.  Now I am back to square one & my server can no longer send or receive my Hotmail messages.  Oddly enough, my server has no such trouble sending or retrieving my gmail messages!
Is this a glitch within Windows 8 all of a sudden?
I have Windows Live Mail 2012.
