Movie Maker detects my digital video camera but does not import Video

My computer and MS Movie Maker appear to connect to my DV Camera with no problem, but when I attempt to import video,
it does not capture anything and just shows the black screen. MS Movie Maker correctly rewinds the tape and begins playback on my camera. I have updated the software on PC and laptop, after updating the import worked on laptop but not on PC. Drivers for video are up to date and I can see other content and photos in Movie Maker. I just can't get the import to function. Checked the Codex, which checked out ok, with MS tools. Any ideas?

Windows Live Mail (outlook) won’t connect

Im using Win 8, and Live Mail has been working fine but today it just won't go online. No errors displayed it just doesn't do anything when I click on Connect. I have two accounts in it and both servers are working fine so it's not that. My internet connection is also working fine.
It's the second time this happens, last time it just suddenly started working.
Any ideas??

Hotmail Crashed

My hotmail account has been crashed for three hours, the main Inbox page doesn't load properly so I can't click into any of my emails. How do I resolve this?

Does Outlook & Skydrive have a policy on how my surviving family can access my accounts

I won't live for ever and at some point I will have a great deal of important correspondence, photographs and files that I would like to make sure my beneficiaries can access

Can I set up defined names and say give them access on production of a death certificate?

Skydrive files not shown in windows 8.1

If I access my Skydrive account I can see that all my folders and files are there. However, in my notebook running Windows 8.1 Preview I can only see 2 folders, OneNote and Pictures.
How can I solve this issue?

So i posted a topic that got closed a while back i have put all the info i can and have got into it to try restory my hotmail and it just says there is not enough info i have spent days trying to get it back and im not about to give up now i have tried giving

Real name
Age 
People i had contacted on it
Emails i had gotten

All that i could remember but to no avail im getting rather worried right now as to as if i will be able to recover it or not.

New folders Outlook – not as straightforward as Hotmail.

 Why do new folders created end up as sub folders?  I know how to create a sub folder.   Why so hit and miss to move?     My folders list  has gone diagonal.......

I can’t access my hotmail

I have been unable to access my Hotmail account for some time now.

When I tried to access my account I got a message saying someone had tried to access my account.  Unfortunately my default email address from the time I originally set my account no longer exists.
I have tried resetting my account at, account.live.com/acsr on a number of occasions without any luck, it's been so long since I set up the account I can't even remember where I lived at the time.

I called Microsoft customer services but they didn't help.

Can anyone help.
