Hi overnight my hotmail account which been using for over 10 years ceases to exist - last received an email last night and then no access to microsoft account. - can't even change the password not sure if been hacked need help did get email to ask to
verify details on Monday did so and was taken though to my hotmail account - user name is correct, actively use my account.

I have had a hotmail.com address for about 15 years, but haven't checked it recently, perhaps for a year or more. I have a feeling it was shut down due to inactivity and/or outlook changeover. It has been my backup account with GMail for the last several years, and I recently received a message from GMail saying the hotmail address was invalid, which was my first indication that something was amiss.
Microsoft Customer Support wrote: I was able to verify that your account does not exist in our database.
When I explained to Customer support that I was referring to a potentially terminated email account, they suggested I post to this forum.
Is there something that can be done to restore the account? I'm thinking there must be some sort of backup -- seems pretty irresponsible to delete someone's email account permanently, especially since I've been with hotmail for 15+ years.

Outlook has not been working for me for the past 3 days. It originally said it's not working, then last night it says it's updating my inbox. When people email me, it bounces back that the email does not exist.
The service status says outlook is running normally.
I cleared my cookies and history.
I've tried opening in IE, Chrome, and my mobile.
I can access my calendar, skydrive, etc. I can see the Outlook tab, and when i click on it, it says it's still updating my inbox.
I have my email connected to my Microsoft Outlook 2010 and it says the server is offline.
The last email I received was Monday at 9:30am.
Anyone have any idea what's going on?

It works fine if I change files to .wmv beforehand.
Also cant directly upload to youtube (wont allow sign in)

Microsof - Outlook has no help button within their e-mail service.
Never heard of it for a professional and friendly service.

I open an account. Wrote my first e-mail and to send it I've been forced to give them a cell number as the ONLY WAY to unblock my account.
"We've noticed some unusual activity in your Outlook account."
What unusual activity is to write my first e-mail?
"To help protect you, we've temporarily blocked your account."
"Protect me" from what?
Block people trying to access my account NOT ME!

why are emails disappearing from my inbox without me deleting them?
I had some malware unintentionally installed. It's been removed. I'm not sure if this caused an Outlook Mail issue.
But, my contact list (people) wont load. Nor does suggested emails addresses appear when I compose an email.
Is there a way to fix this?
I am posting this question for my mother. For god's sake someone please help!
She transferred her account from webtv and now can't remember her password to access her email. We have tried the "can't access account" several times but, she can't remember the security question, email addresses or any other required information needed
to verify the account. I have also tried to get a single use code sent to her phone with no avail. Let me mention that that is how I was able to get into her other personal account. What other options are there. This is a business account and desperately
needs to get into it.
Please someone help me. I dont know why hotmail locked me out of my account when I'm the real owner. I tried to fill out the questions to prove it is my account. And I failed it to where I cant do it anymore. I made that account when I was a teenager like

This microsoft family safety settingsare not working for the 100th time. I had someone from tech support remote access and configure settings and still my children can view any site. I have a big problem with this. If they get exposed to something they
should not it will be microsofts fault because of a crappy program. I WANT some answers NOW as to if this **** works or not.
