hello people,

i've got a problem with windows essentials.
i wanted to download windows movie maker because i wanted to learn about video editing and it is said it is an awesome programm.
i already downloaded it once a really long time ago for the photo gallery. but also deleted it a couple of months ago.
now i wanted to install it again because of previous reasons.
As i should i started downloadin windows essentials. but when i wanted to choose wich programms to install i couldn't click on movie maker/photo gallery, because they were "already installed"? wich certainly isn't true because i deleted them.
i tried to delete every single bit that had to do something with windows essentials/movie maker/ photo gallery but i'm still getting the same error.

Does anyone recognise the problem and have a solution for it?

Thanks in advance

Hi.  I'm a Linux user who wants to use outlook.com.  Works just fine in Chromium.  Sorry, Microsoft -- <grin>.

Here's my question.  I have e-mail stored in my gmail account that is labeled -- that is, they're subfolders of my mail gmail storage.  I also have these e-mails stored in both Evolution and Thunderbird.  I want to import these to outlook.com, and cannot figure out how to do it.

I'm a book review editor, and I have a folder called "Book Reviews" where I store all of my email related to book reviewing.  I need to create a Book Reviews folder in outlook.com and import all of those mails.  Since outlook.com does not support linking to Gmail through IMAP (yuck!), I'm forced to find another way to do this.

So, I guess two related questions:

1.  How do I get this done?

2.  Alternately, is IMAP support coming for outlook.com?  This, of course, would be the ideal solution.

Thanks.
Please help me -- I have lost the ability to put a name/email address/subject in the search box of my Outlook and have it search for that old email or string.  I can't find any similar questions about this issue in any of the community listings.  This problem is the same whether I use Internet Explorer or Chrome.  I believe this is Windows XP.  Can anyone please help me?  So many thanks!!
I have a desktop, and a laptop. Desktop has windows 8 and is high performance. Laptop has Vista and just barely meets the minimum system requirements for it.

I found that on both computers, it was using all my CPU, and all my RAM. The only thing that fixed it for both computers, was disabling the option to upload in batches. figured I'd put this out there, so that the proper people can look into this. it shouldn't be doing this on high end computers.

Desktop
Windows 8 32-bits
4GB RAM
2GHTz dual core

Laptop
Windows Vista 32-bits
1GB RAM
1.6GHTz dual core

EDIT: Correction. This happens any time files are updated on skydrive from either computer, or from skydrive online. I deleted files from the site, and both computers shot up to 100% CPU, and 100% RAM usage very quickly, even without the option selected.
How do I import my Microsoft Outlook contacts to Facebook. Please give me help as I have tried everything and I keep running into a road block.

How can I view email messages that are more than two weeks old in my Inbox?  I know there are more still in the system by the numbers of e-mails and the fact that I can find them by searching.  However, when I find them using search I cannot then file them in a folder like I can when they are in the Inbox.  I have a Surface operating on Windows RT

Hi,

I am only able to access my Inbox, click on anything else, drafts, sent etc and absolutely nothing happens aside from a series of dots scrolling across the screen from left to right just above the blue toolbar area.

Also only the New mail option appears on the tool bar, no delete option?

I inherited from a previous employee a contact list of customers so that when we need to send an email to a customer we can type in that customers number and the "To" field will populate with their company name or email address.  For instance, we will see either  1424 - AnyCompany or 1424 - Mary Smith (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***).  However, when I go to my address book I can not find this contact list.  So when a customer wants to change the name of the contact, I have to keep a list on paper because I've tried clicking on the contact name in the email and changing it, but then I lose the ability to populate the "To" field by the customer number going forward.  Also, if the customer responds to me after I've sent the email, I lose the ability to send future emails using the customer number. As though that has been overridden. I've also tried adding new contacts by making business cards, but when I go to send an email to them and I start to type in their customer number, nothing comes up.  Since we have over 150 customers and some have 2 or 3 contacts, I can not remember everyone's name.

Unfortunately, we do not know where the contact list is "housed" and how to go about adding or changing it in Outlook. Its not part of the Global Address Book or  the Outlook Address Book.  If you can shed some light on where it is and how to change it, that would be appreciated as it will make my job much easier.

Thank you,

Carolyn
