Hi Leah_V, I don't understand why you locked my original thread, I was about to reply this morning to the advice given by LindaSView, but by then, you had also responded and locked me out!

Have I offended someone?  If so it wasn't intentional.

This morning I followed LindaSView's advice and checked the headers.

I do usually do this with suspect emails, but really have no idea what it is that I'm supposed to be looking for!

Linda's advice pointed me to the things I needed to check!

On the email advising me that my security info was due to be removed, I found the following :-

Line one (it's a long one!) contains amongst the gobbledygook was "(sender IP is 65.54.190.32)", and lines 4 and 5 show:- X-AUTH-Result: PASS
X-SID-Result: PASS.

The other 17 offering me a security code have a variety of senders IP's, which I've not yet checked out, but lines 4 and 5 in the ones I've looked at show the same info as mentioned above.

It would seem that the emails are in fact from MS.

This leads me to query just why these emails offering security codes were being sent to the subject email address when I had clearly specified a different address for such communication. To wit: the "Security info" which MS threatened was "Sheduled to be removed" and which I discovered was infact listed.

Having just looked at this page and satisfied myself that all the detail there was in fact correct (even if it was being ignored by MS!) I then found that there was no obvious way to "Save and Exit" from the page, or indeed just to confirm that no change was required....so I just closed the tab, not the best way to exit!

That done.....bearing in mind I had in fact done nothing, just had a quick "Look-see", behold, I received an email to my designated address thanking me for verifying my hotmail address and offering me yet another security code...not that I had requested one!

Can someone explain to me the logic of this please, as it totally escapes me!

Sorry to ramble on I'm just gratful that I seem to have found someone who knows the system!

MSN changed email to outlook - very hard to find support  - too many changes - lost folders

what do I do?

When someone in my custom domain tries to log into her outlook.com mail, she gets:

You've lost access to your email

The inbox you've been using is no longer available. This can occur when your account is owned by an organization, or when someone else confirms ownership of the email address.
You haven't lost access to the other services you use with your Microsoft account. However, you must choose a new primary alias to continue.

Mine is working fine!

What happened?

I have 'Windows Movie Maker' on my desktop which is running under Vista - however my friend is also using Vista and has a 2011 version of movie maker which allows him to save in HD format.  I cannot find a means of updating my version.

Can anyone advise??

About 2 weeks ago I tried to access my account and it had just disappeared. When I went through the process of resetting it the alternative e-mail address and phone number are now invalid and there is no way of adding in the new ones. I have a lot of important information I need to recover.

Please help.

I have to click show images every time I look at my emails and I cannot remember how to change this to auto.

Hi,

I'm having trouble getting all my devices to sync. I have an @hotmail.com account and I've tried using the IMAP feature on both Mac Mail and Outlook for Mac (2011). When I deleted an e-mail on my Mac (in both programs), I had to delete the message again on my iPhone or iPad and vice versa. This leads to the fact that I have to delete every e-mail twice. I'm not sure what the problem is so if one of you could please help me out with this one..?

Thanks!
The domain name is steamgameswap.com

I wonder which word is protected.. Nothing special here.

I am in the proccess of moving the website to another host and now I need to host my email.

What do I need to do to unblock this domain?
Hi

Our Skydrive account has been shutdown twice in the last 2 days for " suspicious activity or a violation of Microsoft's Terms of Use agreement or Code of Conduct."
Contacting contact customer support has resulted in no response at all (the online form does not appear to work), phone support does not exist for Skydrive even though it is a paid account.
We have not been sent an email identifying the reasons (photos in question) and now have no access to our account or albums.

Please help!
