Outlook.com has been down for me all morning.  Whenever I try to log on, I am able to sign in by I get the advisory "Sorry, there seems to be a problemw with Outlook right now" -



It's not a client issue as I've tried multiple browsers on multiple platforms and even using the mail application on my iPhone does not work.  It could just be my account but I there doesn't seem to be anywhere I can get help other than this forum.  The Live status page says that everything is alright.  Can anyone help?  SkyDrive does work for me though so the problem is not related to the Live logon.

Anybody had this problem from a windows phone?  Had the problem for 4 hours now

Why can’t we CREATE A LINK to invite people to a Skydrive group the same way we can do with a Skydrive folder?

I have some files I want to share with people who don't all have Live accounts. We could do with having a shared calendar and a shared email account.

Some of us can create folders in our Skydrives. 

I can send them links to my files, either by pasting a link into an email or by posting the link on a closed forum. When people follow the link they then show up in a list. As the owner of those files/folders I can figure out if people are accessing the files who shouldn't really be there. It really is so simple, elegant and IT WORKS.

But: logic dictates you'd want the group invite process to be just as simple, elegant and IT WORKS... except it is a complete right royal pain in the rear. In fact, I have an old group which was setup before the outlook.com integration where all the invites worked, and have given up trying to set up a group in fall 2013 (on THREE different Skydrive logins) because right now, it appears no matter how you go about it, the outlook.com integration is broke. So when you create a group you don't get a shared calendar created for you, invites that are allegedly sent never arrive and there's no way of accessing the group outlook.com account to see if something ever got sent at all.

This is so broke it even extends to inviting people to participate inside a folder in a group.

In a folder in a personal Skydrive you can create a link, shorten it and distribute it yourself.
In a folder in a Skydrive group you're forced to use the outlook.com email invite process WHICH DOES NOT WORK if your Live account is associate to a non-MS email account.

Just a thought: can we have the Send A Link option on Skydrive groups? PLEASE? Pretty please, with sugar on top?

How do I synchronise Outlook 2013 calendar and contacts on my Windows 7 laptop with Skydrive

I have a Laptop running Windows 7 & Outlook 2013, and a Microsoft Surface tablet running Windows RT and Outlook 2013.  I have got the Surface calendar and contacts synchronising automatically  with SkyDrive - but how do I achieve the same thing with my Laptop - either manually or automatically - without using third party software?

I'm unable to verify my domain although I already add MX record in my DNS.

Mail setup (required)
To set up mail and prove ownership of this domain, you must create an MX record through your domain registrar. Use the following settings:
DNS record type: MX
Host: ferrytobatam.com
MX server: 3c0f7de5d16f8243abcb4d85114aea.pamx1.hotmail.com
TTL: 3600 or 1 hour
Priority: 10 (or High priority)


Tried to do MX Lookup and got below result :-

Desperately needing to report fraudulantly accessed account-and financial concerns surrounding the “hijacked” account?

. The one thing both my outlook and gmail account have in commI have lost access to 2 of my email accounts immediately after Nortan confirmed I was being accessed remotelyon, was the email sent (and forwarded to other account by me) was identified as fradulant/ illegal. I have left a copy of that original message (altered and missing key info) that I had managed to save to my desktop also. I have sent forms to both domains, WITH id verification attached to email sent to me to verify ownership) but keep being informed it does not match records. Also, the phone number used for account access security has been changed to a different number, for gmail and so I wonder if outlook account info changed too. Luckily I have some copies that will prove some since nothing else will. I was told to file a criminal report as well as ID theft/fraud complaint. But in the meantime, who has my account and a copy of identifying id as well as my FAFSA information, loan account details and saved Tax filing information???
