Hello, I had a similar issue before and it seemed to resolve itself in time (as perhaps I should have confirmed in the thread) but I feel I now need assistance even more than I did before, My new problem is a VERY serious one.

I made a change of primary alias, just like my previous troubles, only this time I deleted the original one in the hope that I could move it to another account (one of my two educational Office 365 mailboxes). I had already connected one of those to the other along with a Yahoo and a Gmail, giving me a total of four for this, which left me with three remaining addresses from that same, eight-year old Windows Live ID that I had yet to successfully bring under the same roof.

I was unable to apply its main component to the 365 area because I was told that, for reasons beyond my own comprehension, the @hotmail.com domain cannot be added. This was after replacing it as the primary in a bid to bypass the 'already taken' errors, then after deleting it to no avail, only to then find that recreating it where it had been before was also impossible (I had previously removed aliases and later reversed this so I was led to believe it was safe as I could at least revive it for its native account).

Now my situation looks really quite dire, as all signs are suggesting that this recipient on which I rely so heavily is now apparently non-existent. Please assure me this is not the case and provide some steps to remedy this so that I at least have some sort of access to it? I know of the 30-day rule and hope this is the worst-case scenario, although I am of the opinion that even this relatively short time is not an acceptable period to wait considering how vital and time-sensitive the very nature of email usage is. Even signing up again from scratch appears to be out of the question thanks to the new @outlook system taking over - I want the same IDs as I have been using and have no intention of cluttering things up with new ones.

Any help is appreciated, although I trust you will understand that the sooner I receive a response for this pressing and particularly concerning predicament, the better. Thanks in advance.

I updated to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8, being promised, Skydrive would now work on 8.1, but: skydrive still does not automaticall update online content. Last night I added files to the Skydrive folders in explorer, really needing them today at work... nothing to be found online????? How come?

trying to add family member to hotmail won't allow get message name all ready taken?
Any newer information on this subject?  I find it ironic to have difficulty using Outlook (regardless of the OS) to retrieve both email AND calendar from Outlook.com.

And please...no one tell me about POP or IMAP.  Email can be made to work I'm really interested in calendar sync.
I have a new HP Laptop and trying to access photos from another removable hard drive attached to my laptop.  Would like to edit, share and email photos already downloaded to the removable hard drive.  I attached to new laptop but can't access the photos to import into new laptop and photo gallery so I can edit and share.  Please help!  When I click the import tab, it does not recognize that the hard drive is attached and I can't access the photos in photo gallery.
For the last few days I have had problems managing my emails. I can sign in fine but I cannot open/ delete/ move/ write new emails, the option to doesn't come up on the tool bar. How do I remedy this?

I LOST ALMOST ALL OF MY CONTACTS AFTER HOTMAIL TO OUTLOOK SWITCH. DID SOME READING AND TRIED TO CLICK ON THE "TO" ABOVE CONTACTS AS WELL AS PEOPLE/ RESTORE CONTACTS. IT DOES NOT WORK, IN PEOPLE IT SAYS THAT I DONT HAVE ANY CONTACTS. I CAN ONLY SEE FIVE FREQUENTLY USED CONTACTS IN OUTLOOK.

I SEE THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NO PROPER SOLUTION, NEITHER DOES MICROSOFT SEEM TO CARE. I AM READY TO SWITH TO ANOTHER PROVIDER - FREE OR NOT - THIS IS JUST SILLY.

I have lost all information , emails, folders and everything else when connecting through the new outlook from old hotmail account.   Is there a way for me to recover this information.  Like everyone else who has experienced this issue before me, i have old emails , that are dear to me.   Thanks,
Greg
As a government employee I have been using Outlook for years. I use Internet Explorer 10 and Windows 8. I just discovered that Microsoft had somehow "modified" the Federal Outlook application last night, I can access my email page BUT it displays that it is loading, does not complete the loading cycle and does not provide any access to my messages or files. I changed the preferences from IE7 to 9 and 10 without any success. Please provide your input because Microsoft won't.
