I bought two Surface machines yesterday, a Surface Pro and a Surface 2. When I try to redeem the bonus 3gb of storage with the code in my "Welcome to Windows 8" pamphlet I get and error telling me that "this type of code has already been applied to this account".  I suspect that is because when, on the day of release last year, I bought a Surface RT.

Please Microsoft, don't tell me that a faithful Surface fan is only entitled to one 3gb SkyDrive increment in their lives!  Please tell me that I am entitled to a measly 3gb for each of the Surfaces I have purchased, all 3 of them.  Anything less would be unacceptable, quite frankly.

Waiting anxiously,

Your big Surface supporter,

Horst.

I don't want to risk any deletion of any system which Concerns my Windows 7. I've been prompted to download an upgrade of Windows Live over and over. Also my Skype account I want no changes in. Right now I have no one to Skype with and do not want paid services. Every time an upload to that has been suggested, it seems to be a trip up for you to buy into a service that is free. My profile has not changed.

I have had multiple upgrades to different security packs. Also my windows folders are a total mess. I can't organize the folders for my photos to do what I want and post photos or images where I want to upload them.

I also have the right to use Chrome as my default browser without holding any other service provided by my PC held hostage. I will likely be de activating on Social Site within the next week and want my Mail service uninterrupted, and my ability to add to add the people I want , do business with and actually know on it only. I don't want strangers from twitter showing up on my contacts like they do now. That's why I just disconnected Twitter.  I am not a tech, and don't put me in the position of needing to become an administrator either.  This should not be my job as a user. I am not in the Market for Windows 8, in any form. IE has caused me problems in the past as default browser, and I don't want to be held to that either.
all sent email messages in outlook.com have disappeared prior to 10/11/2013....i have about 8 months of sent emails that are critical to me in managing a not for profit organization... i really appreciate the help to recover them...i use microsoft outlook 2013 to access my messages and i use the account almost everyday and just noticed this problem this morning....i suspect the issue happened last night...i did not delete them

This has happened to me a few times now and I'm starting to get really annoyed with it!

I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 4G (I9305) with the painful Outlook app installed. When my device has been restarted (or it's accidentally gone into safe mode after a restart and I've had to come out of safe mode and back into 'normal' mode again) my Outlook app has wiped/lost all of my emails/contacts/calendar details and I have to re-sync everything again - which takes ages and saps up a load of my data allowance. This has happened maybe 6 times now, 2 of them being in the last week. It doesn't happen every time I restart the phone, just every now and again but surely the app shouldn't be losing all of this information causing me to re-sync. I don't understand why it just 'disappears'. Has anybody else faced similar issues? It's a puzzling and highly annoying predicament!

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer!

Stephen

Hi

I am having a problem with SkyDrive. I have successfully uploaded about 16gb of data (c8000 files) but in the progress section of the modern SkyDrive app it is showing 3 files as completed and will not remove them from the list (they have been there two days and will not go).

Secondly, I thought I was going mad because I have been setting my whole SkyDrive folder as 'make available offline' (and checking it in the settings of the modern app) and when I have gone back and looked its set itself back to online.

No one else uses this machine, and I honestly thought it was me doing something. But last night I deliberately checked it and on a re-boot to day it was back as online!

I can see that the child has been viewing "suspectible" sites but they are not blocked. Do I have to do something to block every one separately?
Thank you

[Moved from feedback]

I downloaded 8.1 the other day.  I went to download an app and it said I needed to verify my e-mail address -- I hit resend e-mail and I got an error.  The reason for the error is the wrong e-mail address is listed.  It was listed as *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and it should be *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  There are no options on your horrid website to make this change.  It let me change my password to which it doesn't recognize now.  It let me close the account and when I went to open another it said my e-mail address *** Email address is removed for privacy *** was not available.  I've had this e-mail address for many, many years.  I've had an online account with Microsoft for many years.  I tried calling 800-642-7676 and requested a callback due to the wait length.  When it called me back it put me on hold and then I got the message to request a callback.  I am unable to get any support from your company online or via phone.   I am hyper-frustrated at this time.  Here is what I need done.   My e-mail address is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** -- that needs to be changed and my password apparently needs reset.  Do not sent me to password recovery because it doesn't recognize me.  My name is Mark Meloy.   What else do you need to help me?  This is absolutely .

Chatted with Angelita C for well over an hour and she couldn't help me.  this is a temp account

Hi!

Two Win8.1 Pro PCs; the first one (updated from windows store) sync all files correctly

The second one can't upload any file! (installed from the win8.1 MSDN ISO file)

I already have all files in the skydrive folder (d:\andrea\skydrive) and the metro app shows me "11062 files to upload". That's not true, because all those files are already present on the cloud storage.
However, it is freezed in that state. I tried to "flag all files for offline access", kill and reopen the skydrive process, restart etc...

cpu usage for skydrive.exe is pretty high (intel core duo e 6600, full usage of one core). I tried to leave the pc "working" for an entire day, but that doesn't solved the problem.

Here logs file from AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\SkyDrive\logs: http://sdrv.ms/HbV71N

Hi,

My account was recently compromised and used to spam viruses to everyone I know, but I finally have control of my account again and it's secure with a new password and phone number authentication.

Could you please send me a log of the IP addresses used to access my account so I can figure out how long ago it was compromised?

Many Thanks.
Joan Clough
Very Frustrating!
