Hello,
I am running Windows 8.1 Preview. I uninstalled and reinstalled SkyDrive (desktop version) to my PC, and I still cannot get the Icon to appear in the Notification area of the taskbar. I went into "Customize", and it wasn't there either. Also, the files on "skydrive.live..com" are not the same as the files on the Windows 8.1 SkyDrive App, and there is no "Sync" button.
I get this message "Call us overprotective, but..." and then asking for a security code. I have tried having a code sent to both my phone + email but no code is ever sent. Now I've been told that this is the last time I will be able to postpone entering a code. I am about to be shut out of my email because I can't provide a code.
Outlook doesn't appear to have any real customer service, just this community forum - which is not a replacement for knowledgable people trained to resolve issues.
I'm using Windows 7. When this happens all the messages on the server get dumped and my other computers which are using the same e-mail accounts don't get their e-mail. Since only my wife and I have access to this computer I know this is not being done by a person. Is there a fix for this problem? To find this button in Windows Live Mail, go to Accounts, Properties, and click on the Advanced tab. The button is at the bottom of the page under Delivery. When I click the button it stays clicked for awhile but invariably after a day or a week or even longer, it shows up unchecked again. I can tell when it has happened because one of my other computers suddenly stops getting any e-mail.
Yesterday I upgraded to Windows Essentials 2012 (and Windows Live Mail 2012) and already this problem has happened again.
For the last 3 days I keep getting the above message in Hotmail - Outlook when I try to send a small e-mail with one 2 page attachment and it is still not working but not sure why? Can anyone help with this Hotmail - Outlook problem as I have not clue why this is happening - thanks!
