I cannot remember my password but the email and phone number is wrong and i cannot recieve email to reset password.  Had to make a new account just to submit this question.

when hotmail was shut down it appeared I lost all emails, folders & contacts. I created a outlook email with exactly the same *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and same password and attempted to retrieve all emails etc with no success. I normally use firefox version 23 (I noticed elsewhere version 17 is recommended however that would be an older version and cannot upgrade backwards), I have opened google chrome using www.outlook.com and it opened my original hotmail to a surprise and found my original emails etc but does not show my new outlook emails. 

I would like to pair the two emails together eg to transfer all hotmail information across to my outlook however I have been unsuccessful following any faq's that I have found and adding a alias does not work either.

Please assist.

Our school's email was upgraded by Microsoft from Hotmail to Outlook 365.  During that transition, I messed up my password and got locked out.  I now get "You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect user ID or password." and when trying to recover the account, I get "It looks like your account has been blocked".

 

I've contacted the admin at the school and she said that as soon as Microsoft moved the account, she lost her ability to admin these accounts. 

 

I've chatted with the Charles L at "Microsoft account" on Outlook.com and Skydrive support and he recommend that I should post my question.

 

So, how can I get an account unblocked if no one has access to the admin of it??

outlook emails spamming my server

Hi I am receiving literally thousands of fake Outlook accounts onto my server that are actually stopping my "genuine" emails as my server is bogged down with this attack. Here are a sample of the emails :- *** Email address is removed for privacy *** *** Email address is removed for privacy *** *** Email address is removed for privacy *** *** Email address is removed for privacy *** *** Email address is removed for privacy *** *** Email address is removed for privacy *** literally thousands of junk email coming from outlook. Any ideas on how to get rid of this ****? Its obviously a cyber attack on my system but its nearly all coming from Outlook emails.

hotmail inbox emails lost after upgrade

I had more than 1000 emails in my Hotmail Inbox and now they dissapeared. I can see only the ones from the last  2 weeks. The Sent folder keeps all my old emails, more than 1000.

Please help me to recover my old Inbox messages.

Several of my friends/family members got email messages from my Hotmail account that weren't sent by me.  When I heard about this I immediately logged into Hotmail to change my password, which I was able to do.  I also set up two factor authentication at that time.

 

While in my email account, I checked the sent messages folder and I found no evidence that messages had been sent.  However I did find in both my inbox and junk mail folder messages that had bounced with a 'mail delivery failed' message due to a message being sent to an email address that was no longer valid.

 

At least one of the messages was sent after I changed my password and set up two factor authentication (SMS to my mobile).  How is this possible and how can it be fixed??
