my inbox emails and all email created sub folders re missing/lost in outlook

My hotmail/outlook account was hacked.

All my contacts were sent messges.

Outlook apparently moved all my emails and folders as a precaution. My contacts however still seem to have been unaffected nd were not also wiped.

I changed my password immediately after I found out and sent message to Microsoft/outlook explaining all the missing emails and many sub folders I had created.

Still no resolution from Microsoft and I m unable to work.

I recently signed back into my hotmail account after along haitus and have found that all my old emails are missing. It looks like this is a common problem, but I really need to get my old folders. There are years of family and buisness info. Can you plse help?

Add category to outgoing outlook.com mail

Is there a way to add a "Category" to an outgoing email?  When I type an email I often times want to have that outgoing email categorized in a particular place because it's important.  I don't want to have to go to the sent folder to apply a category to each email that I send.  Some emails it doesn't matter but some it does.  If it's an ongoing thing I know I can set up a rule/filter to do that but often times it's a one shot thing so setting up a rule/filter is not appropriate.

Can’t Delete a Yearly Reoccuring Event

I can't seem to delete an event that occurs yearly. I can reproduce the issue by creating a new event and changing the reoccurrence to yearly. After I save it I delete the first event, if I refresh my browser the event reappears. I have the same issue if I try to delete the event from my Windows Phone. I can delete monthly and daily reoccurring events fine. I only have this issue with yearly events. Anyone else have this issue and a fix for it?

Suddenly, I'm not able to upload files as attachments to my emails! I'm trying to apply for work and this is seriously hindering my efforts. Please help??

I am trying to empty my deleted items folder. I have tried right clicking and the option to “manage folders” or “empty” do not appear. Please tell me how to empty my deleted folder.

In the left pane of my hotmail, there are no icons.  It lists "inbox,"  "deleted," "junk" and the usual standard folders.  When I right click in the hopes of seeing "manage folders," I get only "sync" and "'in to start."  How can I find the "manage folders" option?

Removing a contact already removed

This is awful! I cant cut my question from the title area and put it into here where it belongs so i had to delete it and retype the whole thing out again .  I hate this already and i havent even had a reply :(

I added a contact on skype and skype alone, however , outlook decided to grab the info too as they are in partnership with skype!

Since adding , i now wish to get rid of this contact forever , so on skype , i have deleted and blocked them . I got into outlook people list  and surprise surprise , they are still on the list , but when i highlight them and click on delete, i am told they only exist through skype so need to be removed from there to disappear from here. That would be fine but they arent on skype anymore in anyway and i never added them under msn or live outlook section of skype , i signed into my official skype acccount ,please help as i really dont want them visible anywhere anymore

I have an outlook email account, but cannot access from MSN page with the envelope symbol. It tells me I do not have the default account set up correctly.  Will you please help?
