Question about Outlook Express

hello

I am trying to locate an email from the end of November and emails in account only go from beginning of December.   I have no idea about this pop folder I cannot see this anywhere their is nothing under deleted folder just showing empty the settings are set not to delete etc..... also most of my emails go into junk folder and the one I'm after is my wageslip which always go into junk.  I am using Microsoft edge.  I'm not very up with technology in layman terms if anyone could explain how I can access them please

Hi I was surfing the web when my web address was suddenly hijacked and Microsoft security warning with a warning label "S3.amazonaws" appeared and my screen just froze still. I has to reboot and do a systems restore before it was fixed. 

My question is, why is there a bug when my system had already been installed with the latest updated Microsoft security essentials antivirus software? 

Is there any way I can prevent another hijacking of this sort?

Pray explain and any advice is appreciated from the community out there.

My PC crashed big style yesterday.  I had to recover via the recovery disc.  When I got it back up I noticed that shortly before it crashed there was a failed windows update.  I now have everything back up and running except Windows Live Mail.  When I click on the program it says starting and the circle goes round and round.  Strangely when an email comes through (which I can see on my ipad) the mail notification sound occurs on my PC but there is no way of getting to the email because the software doesn't load up.  So it would appear that WLM is communicating with my external mail accounts but there is no means of getting past the start up screen to get to them!

I have uninstalled WLM (twice), undertaken a full clean and reinstalled it.  All to no avail, it just starts and hangs. Interestingly when you go to task manager and look at the service it is using quite a bit of memory but no CPU. Its doing nothing just hanging.

I have no particular allegiance to WLM so I have installed another freebee mail client.  However, I'm struggling to get my contacts out of WLM.

So I guess I have two questions.  How can I get WLM to get past the startup screen so that I can continue to use it or, failing that, how can I get to my contacts so that I can use them through another mail client.

Oh and just in case you were wondering I'm not connecting to hotmail or any of the other email accounts that Microsoft are disconnecting from the WLM service in January.

Any advice would be most welcome.

I've looked at a couple of forums dealing with this question but still haven't been able to get my windows movie maker to work properly.

It used to be able to accept mp4 video files from my phone perfectly well. Then for no apparent reason it started making half the screen green when I add them. I currently have a compilation saved in a windows movie maker file which perfectly plays the clips that I'd added up to a certain date but when I add new ones the green half screen problem happens.

I've tried downloading the MediaArea net program but have no idea how to use it to work out if codecs are missing. Also one of the help pages on this forum recommended something with a name like 'fix video crash problems' from this page -

How to use Microsoft easy fix solutions

Any one have any ideas why this problem is happening and what I need to do to fix it?
