Question about Outlook Express

Like a lot of others I have found just recently that  when I add photos to an email in Windows Live Mail - they don't go out of the Outbox and I get an error message.  This applies if I use photo album or insert single photo or even if I just add the image file as an attachment.  I've read some of advice on this forum and tried a few things including running a fix on Widows Essentials but that didn't work. 

I am running Windows 10 on a laptop and I have a back up laptop.  I just checked it and I found the same problem.

The error message is 

Server   "mail:btinternet.com"

Windows Live Mail Error Code ID: 0x8007007A

Protocol: STMP

Port: 25

Secure (SSL):No

I tried changing No to  Yes in above but that did not help

I am using Windows 7 64-bit and actually reinstalled the os as Movie Maker is so important to me. It was crashing before and it's still crashing now even after a clean install of Windows 7 and Movie Maker.

Hi.

Last week I had major computer problems.

So I have a new PC with Windows 10.

I currently have the old HD connected to the new computer and can access all the .DBX files from Windows Live Mail.

As we know, the .DBX files need to be .PST for Outlook 2016.

The suggestion was download Windows Essentials pack and use WLM to open the files and then export them in the different file type.

However, support (and downloads) for windows essentials pack finished on the 10th of January 2017...... YESTERDAY!

So I am a day late and a Mail package short.

Does anyone know how to do this with spending a fortune or crying into my keyboard.

today I clicked and opened MSE to do a short scan, and there is a new message saying 'Support for this operating system is ending'. I can still do a scan, etc., but I am unsure what my next steps are supposed to be. Vista has worked well for me.
