I am receiving email but cannot send email. Trying keeps giving me a box to log on but it does not work.  I tried changing the password but that didn't work either.  The server is outbound.att.net

How do I fix this.  Thanks

Dear iFiredog,

Your suggestion of changing the outgoing mail port seems to have worked.  I can send email out.  Now do you have a remedy

for incoming?  Can't thank you enough for all your help.

I need to import some important mails with .pst extension using Windows Live Mail.  I am using the web version of Windows Live mail but cannot find the File/Import button at all.  I have read all manners of blogs and forum comments that advice the ways to do it but no luck.  By the way, the files I am trying to import are old archives files from Outlook and Outlook Express.  Any help appreciated.

Split from this thread.

I have Win 7 and using Windows Live Mail 2011. Just recently it started to crash and restart on its own simultaneously after I send an e-mail. This happens countless times throughout the day. Every now and then it will let one go through without crashing however rarely. I followed your instructions and posted below the error message I receive every time it happens. This is beyond frustrating...........please help!

I am very frustrated.

In Photo gallery, I click  HELP and instead of a help screen I am routed to a windows 10 sales screen. Am I the only person who believes that microsoft is short changing its customers?

I do not wish to spend hours searching the ms community and potentially find an answer to the problem when a decent user manual would suffice. Is this the future of computing?

I did not move my emails and contacts from WLM 2012, back in June 2016. Is it too late to move them to my new Office Outlook 2016 program?

Even though I have the waveforms enabled (the button under the View tab that says "waveforms", I have pushed that button), for some reason audio waveforms don't show. On my old laptop with a corrupted operating system, waveforms will show just fine. But on my brand new laptop with a brand new installation of Windows 10, waveforms don't show.

Whenever I load a video into movie maker, it loads fine. The audio loads fully, and if I play the video, the audio can be heard just fine. However, I do not see any waveforms. I have tried zooming in, changing the thumbnail size, changing from widescreen to standard. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, TWICE. This makes editing my videos a time consuming process, because I cannot see where audio starts and stops, therefore I have to playback, pause, and trim over and over and over again. I use this program because it has always been easy for me, and I will not move to a different video editor just because this program won't do one simple thing that it should be doing. So naturally I want to fix this problem, relatively quickly, and all advice is welcome :)

Edit: I only use video files which are .wmv format.
