Import of files (pictures) from Cannon

Need some help. When I import files from my camera I want the process to go through ACDSee, because this is the program I use for indexing. I feel it is Win 10 that has the wrong command/app.
What do I do with the apps?

When opening e-mail on Windows Live 2012 program prompt comes up saying "a problem has caused this program to stop working correctly"  then looks for a solution from Microsoft then shuts down, and I am unable to access mail program unless I restart it.  I tried going into "repair windows essentials issues"  with no success.  Any suggestions?

Up until 4 days ago my Windows Live mail 2011 has been working very well for several years and holds lots of folder with

important previous emails.

WLM is still RECEIVING emails and I can also SEND emails. What I can't do now is Download any Attachments from incoming emails

or add an Attachment to an outgoing email.

When you try to add or download an Attachment it closes WLM down and restarts it.

If you go to the Control Panel - Programs & Features - double click on WLM, to options appear 1) Uninstall

2) Repair all Windows Essential Programs- Click on that and wait - Display could not complete Internet Connection failed.

My Internet Connection Remained the whole time. Box Close or Retry. Tried this several times.

There is also another Warning concerning Windows Live Calendar services.

It is my suspicion that all of this problem is generated by Microsoft to encourage the use of Windows 10 Mail.

Microsoft does this to US all the time. Every time we get used to using a program and have spent years learning how to use it well,  MS decides that their new app/program is better and begins to destroy our old, familiar programs. They start by making changes to it that end up making it obsolete and eventually malfunction. Then they passive aggressively make us use what THEY think is better or an improved app and that it is in our best interest to use. Like a nanny deciding that the new program is what we SHALL be using from now on, so they take away the old.

PLEASE STOP PRACTICING THIS ANNOYING POLICY,  MICROSOFT !!! We get that you like to advance things and make changes to your software and packages and OS. But less is more. If it works, DON"T FIX IT! Or at least leave what does work alone.

That being said, I am running Windows 10. Before the last update, I was able to use Photo Gallery. Not Now! Whatever it was that they decided to "fix" on it because they "thought" we would be better off without it, has left me without a SIMPLE photo viewing app/program that ALSO makes edits. And PLEASE don't tell me about PHOTOS. It is terrible.

Before Photo Gallery was shoved down our throats, we had Picture Manager, which was a great program ("program" is what us old guys used to call what is now referred to as an "app", which is short for "application", but they are all just programs.)

So, why doesn't Photo Gallery work any longer?
