Hi - After the latest Windows update (Windows 10 Fall Creators Update) My Live mail is not working correctly. The program comes up like normal and shows the subject but it does not show any of the body of the email. When I double click to open an individual email, I get a message that says an error occurred and to try again. I ran the Live Essential repair feature but it did not solve the problem.

Anyone have any solutions for this?

Thanks,

Tony

I had to do a clean install of Windows 10 so I lost all programs and data from my C: drive. I have backups but Microsoft told me not to use them as the undetectable virus may have been included in the backup. I am trying to restore only selected files to regain data that I have saved (over 20 years worth). I have found and reinstalled Windows Photo Gallery and would like to restore the data files as I have thousands of photos that have been tagged and really do not want to start from scratch again.

I am noticing a drop off in quality between the Movie Maker file I create with downloaded video, and the final product converted from Movie Maker to mp4 format.  I am routinely getting a lot of extra static on the audio, and some of the video transitions that include panning/movement convert as very choppy, unclear or not fluid.

Would the quality be better for these particular aspects of movie making with Wondershare Filmora?  Can I take a "draft" movie that I have edited/made with Movie Maker and "convert" it to or load it in Filmora and convert to mp4 and to try and get a better result?  Or do I have to start from scratch and download all the raw digital data directly to Filmora?  Another other alternatives/suggestions?

Hello,

I was hoping someone could offer a quick fix for me.  For some reason in the last few days whenever I access my hotmail account on hotmail.com or my office 365 account (both through google chrome), the accounts open normally, but when I double-click on an individual email, nothing happens and there's a static "loading" icon in the main window.  Why can't I open my emails?  Thanks for any and all help!

There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.

Recently I have been getting pop ups telling me my Comcast (window live mail) settings are out of date with no info on what to do. I have found this online. I am not even sure this information is accurate.  So before I touch ANYTHING, I need some advice. TY

How to Configure Windows Live Mail 2011

1.     Open Windows Live Mail.

2.     Click the Accounts menu, and select the +Email button

3.     Enter your email address into the Email Address field, your password into the Password field, and your name in the Display name for your sent messages field.

4.     Click the check-box for Manually configure server settings.

5.

6.     Click Next.

7.     In the Server Type drop-down box, select IMAP.     (Currently POP3)

8.     In the Server address field under Incoming server information, enter imap.comcast.net.

9.     Click the check-box for Requires a secure connection (SSL) underneath the Server address field. This will automatically change the Port field to 993.

10.                        In the Server address field under Outgoing server information, enter smtp.comcast.net.

11.                        Click the check-boxes for both Requires a secure connection (SSL) and Requires authentication underneath the Server address field.

12.                        Enter 587 into the Port field under Outgoing server information. (Already is 587)

13.                        Click Next.

14.                        Click Finish.

Congratulations! You're done configuring your Windows Live Mail client to send and receive Comcast email.
