My windows live mail contacts are not responding. I tried repairing Windows Essentials through my control panel, but that didn't seem to help. When I open the contacts, as soon as I try to scroll down or click on anything I get program not responding, and have to close the program.
What can I do to fix this?
Some facts...
In preview mode, all looks good. When I save it, photos look terrible! Audio is fine.
1. My photos are hi res.....2322x4128. I have approx 160 photos
2. I try to save in Hi def...terrible photo quality in finished product regardless of save as mode of quality
3. I have lowered the res of photos to 1280x720, saved and it looks better but photos are smaller in size
4. I want to save using hi res photos..looks better
Can I do this? Also, I have tried the same thing with NCH Video Editor..same problem. Preview mode looks great, but saved hi def file, mpeg4 or avi looks horrid.
This tells me possibly it's my computer? Codecs? Drivers? I have examined all the info on this Forum....is it just that I can not save as with hi res photos? If not, what software will?

I recently downloaded the Windows Live Essentials 2012 installation programs for both British English and Universal English. After several unsuccessful attempts loading the British English version on a Windows 7 Home Premium notebook I loaded just Windows Live Mail via the Universal English version. It loaded OK, but I am having problems seeing JPEG images sent as email attachments.
So far I have looked at about a dozen emails I know have attachments. PDF and .mp4 attachments show up OK, but the very common .jpg type attachments I know are there do not appear. Instead I get an error message to the effect that the attachments are a prohibited file type which have been blocked because they are considered to be dangerous. Clicking on a Get Help tab on the error messages tries to open a Microsoft web page, but cannot - presumably closed since Live Mail was dropped. Adding the sender's address to a list of trusted senders makes no difference, and I cannot find any other place to change the blocking function.
How can I tell WLM to allow .jpg attachments to be viewed?
Each day when I send my first email of the day live mail locks my IP address at my provider and shows the error message box but it has no error message in it. When I contact my provider my IP is blocked and they always say its because live mail has sent too many attempts to send emails from my computer IP address, They reset my IP and live mail works for the rest of the day and then it all happens again the next day. I have no other devices that I know of attached to the email address. I have tried deleting the account and reinstalling with the settings my provider agreed should work. Once the IP is reset my password do not need to be reset but work fine.
Has anyone any ideas?

Now My query is history file corrupted. When I tried opening with word pad or note pad, it is showing some characters but not in English.There could be some important messages way back before 2010.
So Pls. either provide me backup or pls. make readable document.
