Windows Live Mail, can’t send or receive

I have Win 10 on a desktop PC, and trouble with Windows Live Mail.  Suddenly I cannot send or receive.  This happen before recently, I received some good information here, and I fixed my problem.  Now it has happened again.  Here is the error message:

I would like to change my alternate email to something different. How do I do this? Currently the emergency recovery email belongs to my daughter and I need to change it to my personal gmail account in it's place. Please advise.

Windows 10    Windows live email.   When I open an email it is blank, not on everyone just periodically.  I also have been receivng multiple emails sometimes 3 to 4 of the same email

Inbox mail disappearing after being read, can only be found by searching

After moving some mails to different folders, something went very wrong and now I can only read new mails once, as they will only appear when I sort by "unread". And once they have been read they disappear completely. I can only find them by searching specifically for them, and even then it says the mails are still located in the inbox. Please help

This is on outlook.com, the website, I'm using a Hotmail address. This happens on both the website and my iphone client.

  ...Most Security software deny an attachment, but do accept a pasted Pic on the Outlook Mail Page.... As Opening pic, then pasting with Internet Explorer is no longer an option, and to open with Edge is NOT AVAILABLE... what are my alternative options to copy-paste a pic in my PAID Subscription to Outlook? Emails disappeared from my INBOX and are not in POP folder

Hello, 

My inbox was fine last night or this morning but this afternoon i noticed that all of my emails prior to this week are gone. I checked my POP folder and they are not there. 

I did a search for some of the items that I knew were missing and they say they are in the POP folder but they aren't. Is there some other POP folder? I also looked through every folder i have and can't find them embedded into another folder.    Also, when i found the emails by searching, i can click on them and see them and forward them to my inbox, but the problem is that i can't remember every email i am missing.

Any ideas on how to recover those emails or find the elusive POP folder?? thank you!
