Windows Live Mail FAQ
I have gone through the instructions to delete facebook contacts from my windows live contact list, but I do not have the facebook icon showing on my microsoft account page. Please can somebody help me with this.

Any emails with an attachment will not download and it keeps the emails that came in from last email download until the email with attachment tries to come in from downloading. I get the following error message:

I have Norton Anti virus on the computer. Disabling it does not correct the problem. I have gone to Windows Live Mail safety Options and unchecked "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus". and that did not solve the problem either.
I can send emails with small attachments. I cannot send multiple photographs at once.
How can I get emails with attachments to download?
My windows mail program, calendar, calculator, don't open. However my Xbox program, my People program do open. Whenever I open my mail, calendar, and calculator the opening window shows up for about 5 seconds and then the window just closes by itself. I tried installing windows essentials 12 from online but when I opened the Windows Live Mail an old version of the mail program which was for Windows 7. This problem has been going on since I upgraded to Windows 10. All these programs opened when I had Windows 8.1 and worked normally but I very rarely used them. Now they do not work at all.

I, as well as my father, am having the same issues. I have contacted Microsoft twice and the first time I was told that it had nothing to do with reverting back to Windows 7. The second time they tried to fix the issue and were unsuccessful. They gave me a web address and a phone number. I am now staying up all night just to deal with this issue. I have tried all the "solutions I have seen on this site, as well as some of my own and nothing works. If I get a solution tonight I will let you all know.

I've been having this issue on my work iMac for months now. The Reminders app will launch, pop up a notification for a split second, then disappear before I can see what it was trying to notify me of. This happens when I don't have any meetings or appointments scheduled and as far as I can tell they're for ghost events. Meetings/Appointments that I do have with reminders have reminders that work as expected (pop up and remain until dismissed) but not these ghost ones. I'm getting 4-10 of these a day and I can't figure out any sort of pattern other than they tend to appear on the 15 & 45 minute marks of the hour (makes sense for 15 minute default reminders).
Does anyone have any idea what these are and how to get rid of them?
Hello I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but when you now sign up with a brand new account for Family Safety Browsing the "Block inappropriate Webites" by default is set to "OFF" this is a concern since it should always be enabled by default as it use to be in the past.
The whole point of using the Windows Live Family safety is to have it turned on by default. You should not have to go in a turn it on.
Can someone please let the Microsoft programmers know that there seems to be a bug they may not be aware of.
Windows Live Family Safety should be set to On by default always when you sign up and if you choose to you can turn it off,
otherwise this defeats the purpose of using it.
Please give it a try create a new account in login.live.com and then install the Windows Live Family Safety on your computer.
As soon as you do by default Website blocking of inappropriate sites is set to OFF.
For people who have small kids this is really bad since they may not be aware of this bug.
