How do I move certain photos from Windows Photo Gallery to a new folder?

I have recently got Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 Professional.

Could someone please explain how I can remove "the over typing" whenever I notice an earlier spelling mistake in the message which I'm typing.

Instead of, for example, inserting the missing letter, it does insert that letter but also removes the next letter etc.

I know how to eliminate this when using Word for letter writing (ensure the OVR is greyed out) but I can't find anything to correct it on Live Mail!

Many thanks

Up until 2 days ago, things were good.  Not sure what happened, but two days ago, WLM coud not connect to my gmail account (the server has rejected log on/verify user name and password).  I'm using Windows 7/Windows Live 2012 on a ~5 year old PC.  I can not enter the correct "log on ID and password to allow WLM to communicate with Gmail.  Sure I've messed things up by all my tries to fix this problem.  I'm not even sure which ID and which password (Gmail or WLM) to use  for this task in WLM (I'm golden at the Gmail site).  I've tried both and many combinations to no avail.  Help!  Thanks.

Initially my Office Outlook would not work on my mac, it kept asking me for my password, told me that there were authentification problems etc. A few months ago I had to go to another location to download a document, during which time Office Outlook sprung into life! This lasted for a few months at home, then 10 days ago as I was struggling to connect with BT broadband, again, it stopped working and I started to get the error messages again. I have reloaded Office 2011 a few times, deleted the account, - rebuilt it, done everything I have read on here, to no avail, any ideas?
I have not received any INBOX email since 9th Sept. Junk mail is still coming through. I discovered someone in Nigeria was sending emails from my account. I have since changed my password but still no mail arriving. Help please.

Hi all,

Windows 7 + I.E 11

I've been using Thunderbird for my families emails.

That started to play up, so I looked for an alternative, and with this one being Microsoft, thought it would be the best (bring back outlook express).

The system has taken most of our accounts, but the odd few seem to be having problems.

Most of it seem to be that it doesn't recognise the used password/s etc.

Of course, I have checked and double checked these - to no avail.

also: can I copy my Thunderbird accounts and contacts list to this ?

Can someone help please ?

Split from this thread.

For move rules to work on incoming mail, it's always advisable to end the rule with Stop processing more rules. This ensures that subsequent rules (i.e. lower down the list) don't negate its effect.

As regards these rules not working when you use Apply now, this is a long-standing bug. If you are checking on the From: header and the message header has both a Name and an Address, and you are checking for Address, the rule will not work if manually applied. It will work if automatically applied as the message downloads from the server. It will work if checking the Name. And it will work if the From: header in the message only contains Address but no Name.

To work around the bug, set up the rule to check for Name OR Address.

Stop processing more emails is not a choice in Windows Live Mail 2012.  All I can select is "from People" and then put in the email of the mail I wish to move to a certain folder.  The rule does not work, either manually or automatically.  I have been unable to get any mail rule to work.  And I can't use Windows 10 mail because it has so few features that it is almost unusable...certainly no rule ability.

How do I get the rules to work?
