My version of Windows Movie Maker has encountered a fatal error that has rendered it useless. It started about 4 days ago and hasn't ceased since.
Every time I try to save a movie or a video, even a 20-second long Viewer Discretion Warning video, the Movie Maker malfunctions and fails to finish saving the video, claiming that there is not enough memory to complete the save, which is stupid, considering the computer still has 1.75GB of it's 2.00GB RAM left, and 81.5GB left in the hard drive.
If this problem is not resolved soon, I will have no choice but to remove Windows Movie Maker ( which could result in damage to the system and nullify the warranty ) and buy a replacement software, which I shouldn't have to do. This is one of the core programs that came with my Windows 7 Professional, so it shouldn't be malfunctioning like this.
I am very sorry, Microsoft, but as someone who has used Movie Maker for years ( since the early days of the Windows XP ) without any issues, I do not take kindly to the program suddenly dropping dead on me. You got some work to do to make up for Movie Makers recent pitiful performance.
I am running Windows 7 Professional with Service Pack 1 ( this computers default service pack ). Below is a snip with some of the computers specs. I will post the rest as they are needed.
Don't know how I was able to do this, but I was able to recover my missing emails for the past 2 years on my HP computer that is running xp pro, Previously, I was not able to get into my account due to server issues, so I have no idea how I was able to gain access this one time.
While this "miracle" occurred, I copied the most important emails into an outlook account I have. Here's the thing..... How can I export them or save them to a disc as they don't show on my laptop in the same outlook account even after syncing?
Any help out there?
I have a video embedded in my movie and I'd like the music to be a bit softer at that point. If I click on the video and change the music volume, will it just effect that part (during the embedded video) or will it effect the whole "movie"?
Thanks.
I'm trying to turn off autosync in WLM so that my IMAP inbox doesn't automatically receive new mail unless I click Send/Receive.
I've read other posts on this issue and I've tried the following:
1. Unchecked "Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing" in account properties
2. Right clicked the folder and selected "Don't synchronize" under synchronization settings
After doing these two things, new messages still show up in my inbox automatically without me clicking anything. A new message shows as not downloaded until I click it which is another annoying step. I like to work in my inbox without seeing new mail until I request it. If I can't get this to work right, I'll have to go back to POP3.
Any suggestions? Has anyone been able to get this to work?
Hi, after I have backed up the mac on an external hard disk which I usually backup my mac every month, if I reinstall Microsoft Office on mac, will I loose my email on outlook.
Regards
Adib
A colleague's Microsoft Exchange email account got corrupted so we needed to delete her account and set it up again. We backed up her current account in both PC (pst) and Mac (olm) formats and everything has been fine with the new account and restoring the backup emails apart from the calendar items.
Whenever we reintroduced the calendar items they come in as copies and are no longer editable/under my colleague's control. We have tried opening, importing, drag and dropping them. We have separate olm and pst files for the calendar items so can focus just on these but can't find away around it.
Happy for either a PC or Mac solution.
Many thanks for any guidance.
Hi there,
I currently have Windows Live Mail installed on Windows 7 and am testing it as a potential alternative to Outlook Web App.
I haven't been able to connect the WLM Calendar and Contacts to Exchange? Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, what steps do I need to follow to enable this?
Thanks in advance,
Catherine
