Ok I have been using Movie Maker for a while with no problems and now I am stumped! I created a video that I worked on for weeks and weeks and saved it last night to my desktop. It took about 20 minutes to save and everything was fine. This morning I made a few changes to the video in Movie Maker (just changed up the volume) and now when I go to save it stops saving at 69% and says that "Movie Maker Has Stopped Working."

I have been trying to figure this out all day. I changed the compatibility from Windows 7 to Vista as some have said t try that and that didn't work. My video isn't too long because I it did save last night to the desktop. I made sure I have the most current version of Movie Maker. All of my files are good... again it worked last night?! Why is it stopping at 69% and then shutting down Movie Maker? Please help!!

I had Windows Live Essentials Photo Gallery 2009, I did a recovery, and now I can't download the 2009 version! HELP!!!! Lost all my videos 500 of them

The selections below did not include how to change the default language on the program.  I live in Croatia and my computer guy reinstalled Windows Live Mail, but the default language on the program is Croatian rather than English.  Although I speak Croatian in public, I would rather have the program speak English to me.  I tried FAQ but could only find how to change spell check.

Any simple ideas?

I recently somehow uninstalled my windows essential live with movie maker 2012 and photo gallery on my computer.  I tried downloading from the web again.  After it goes through the download I get an error saying "It looks like another program is preventing the installer from working.  Error: 0x90070643 Source: WLXSuite.

I tried finding the WLXSuite to remove or unistall and start over.  However I am not having any luck.  My computer should be compatible as I have had it on there before and used movie maker and photo gallery successfully before.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thank you

D

Anyone else furious that there is no solution from Microsoft for this yet?

Silly me I did the El Capitan 'upgrade' without checking into the potential problems.

OK, so I use the Microsoft applications on my MacBook.

I would have expected Microsoft to address this better than they seem to have.

Plus, this is just taking time away from all the work I have to do with my 'day job' not babysitting a computer.

I have used a Panasonic HDC-SD60 video camera for several years which results in .MTS video files. Prior to my upgrade to Windows 10, Windows Explorer used to process these files perfectly. Similarly Microsoft Moviemaker could process these files which I could edit then save with no problems.

Since the move to Windows 10 (I can't think of anything else which would have affected it) the MTS files can still be viewed fine by Windows Media Player, MPC-HC or VLC media player but I get strange visual effects when view with Photos or Films & TV

But my main problem is that I use Moviemaker to do my video edits and save the edited file. Since the move to Windows 10, Moviemaker still allows me to read and edit the .MTS files OK but, when I save the edited video, the resultant mp4 file cannot be viewed properly by any of my available software. I see the video but it has these strange visual effects like what I get when I open the MTS files with Photos or Films & TV
