I just opened my Surface Pro 3 & looked for the icon on the explorer drop down & there is no MAIL client anywhere???

I don't see it in the list of apps in the explorer window no is it in the pinned ribbon area.

I just downloaded windows 10, and loaded windows live mail from Windows Essentials.  When I down load emails from Comcast server they appear in the inbox as they should, however they all disappear when I do the next download from Comcast server. I have already checked Message filters under View and "show all messages" is checked.   As a test, yesterday I downloaded 10 new messages from server and opened 5 of them and left 5 unopened.Today when I downloaded from the server all previously downloaded emails (5 unread and 5 read) disappeared. and only the new ones remained.  Can anyone tell me what is going on?

Hi,

I am still struggling to get my folders in Windows Live Mail 11 to come back.  About three weeks ago on the Friday night I found that all my older folders had actually got the e-mails in there by subject but on clicking on the e-mail, the first one was accurate and the rest in that folder were identical to the first one....regardless of what the subject was, or had been.   Then after searching and searching to try to recover my e-mails many of which were extremely important I contacted my server which is Karoo.co.uk.  The technician came onto my laptop by remote control and tried various things.  About two hours later he landed on a site much like this one and read various answers which showed how to recover the e-mails in the folders.  He followed the steps and unfortunately every folder now reads "There are no items in this view" and every single e-mail disappeared.  I am totally at a loss on how to recover the very important e-mails in their folders.  Many are warranties, receipts, etc. etc.  with some sentimental ones.  Anyone can you please help me??  I have Windows 10 but Windows Live Mail 11.

I had a major crash and reloaded OS (Win 7). Need to set up Outlook mail and need these data but don't know where to retrieve them. Actually, I want to recapture use of Live Mail.  I downloaded the Windows Essentials setup file to load the Live Mail files but was asked to input the parameters noted above . . . Account Type was POP3 but I didn't know the "Incoming mail server", the Outgoing mail server (SMTP). I assume the login data of User Name and password can be created as I wish.  My wife uses the ATT-Yahoo mail account in IE-10 and, in the past, I also received all e-mails to my account in my Live Mail account.  I deleted "my" e-mails in the Yahoo account and "her" e -mails in my Live Mail so my business files were in a special place.  I appear to have lost all of the past archived e-mails when the Crash occurred but, perhaps, when/if I can re-create Live Mail, they may return. I assume they were being saved in "the cloud." Alternatively, if necessary, I have re-reloaded Office 10 which includes Outlook and could use this as an alternative to the Live Mail.
