Windows Live Mail 2011 & 2012
The program will not show new messages when the program starts.
Also, I'd like the program to automatically check for new messages every 10 minutes.
It will not do either despite checking the required settings:
File, Options, Mail,
Send and Receive messages at start-up - ticked
Check for new messages every [10] - ticked
The only way to get any new incoming messages is to click on the Home menu button- Send/Receive/specific email acount (Default Account).Then in the bottom right-hand corner it will flash - Checking/authorising etc and assuming there are new inward emails, they will show in the Inbox.
This problem was seen in v2011 running Windows 7 Home Premium.
I upgraded to Windows 10 and v2012 but the problem remains.
I have tried uninstalling Live Mail and reinstalling with no difference.
I have tried an alternative email program such as Mozilla Thunderbird and this problem doesn't happen but I wish to stay with Windows Live Mail.
There is no delay about sending emails - they go into the Outbox for a few moments and automatically go.
I get the blue box of death stating start menu & cortana arn't working. We'll try to fix this next time you sign in.
Because of this error I cannot use my computer. HELP!!!!
I'm having issues downloading windows essentials movie maker/gallery. Whenever I attempt to install, it always says another program is preventing it from installing, and gives me the error code 0x80070643. When I look it up, it's the code for not having my firewall on, but it is on and has been. It won't give me any other error codes when I try to install.
Any tips are greatly appreciated, thanks.

i am needing to open and use movie maker and it keeps saying file cannot be located. Downloaded the newest version and still nothing..
i have located all log files for further assistance but dont know where to send them to for help????????
Doesn't have option. Why do they make this so damn complicated? Just have an icon and say burn dvd.
Here's how:
In Movie Maker, open the movie project that you want to burn to DVD.
On the Home tab, in the Share group, click the arrow next to Save movie, and then select Burn a DVD.
Name your movie and then click Save. After it's saved, follow the instructions to burn a DVD.
