Emails will send but not receive! Aaaargh!

I have a pop email which suddenly on Wednesday decided not to receive any further emails. However, by accident I found I could still send??! It claims an error code of -17897 is the reason. This is an account authentication issue yet I have checked, double checked and triple checked that the info is correct. Weirdly the same settings work without issue in Apple mail, pad and phone. Am using Outlook 2011 for Mac and still using Yosemite...have held off the upgrade for now. All help I have found is geared to other versions or PC based. Is this a known issue following any operating system updates I am not aware about?? Any advice appreciated...do not want to lose any email folders. Thanks! 

Mail conflicts

I have several devices through which I read email (via POP 3 or IMAP). The messages are downloaded to each device and remain on the server for 60 days - then are deleted by my principal mail client (now Outlook 2016).

Since installing a new W10 machine with Office 2016, I keep getting locked out of my account. The ISP helpdesk were far from helpful, suggesting a client issue. Indeed, the problem seems to occur whenever I boot my W10 machine. Workaround is to log onto webmail to authenticate - then all is well 'till next reboot.

I have reduced email checks on the main 3 devices (that are always on), to 20 mins - to avoid simultaneous login conflicts, but still the problem occurs.

It appears as though there may be a conflict between Windows Mail and Outlook 2016, but I cannot de-install Mail in preference to Outlook.

Any ideas please?

I have a user that is running Office 2011 for mac connected to Exchange 2013.  Every so often when she sends a piece of mail, she will check her sent items and the mail shows up as a draft (allowing her to send it again).  However the mail shows as sent within via OWA.  Anyone have any thoughts?

look yall need to fix this I previously tried to download messenger for my facebook after I reset my phone and all it keeps saying is go to "windowsphone.com/family" to install I went to this site so my older brother could "add me to the family"and we tried downloading messenger for my facebook again and it said the SAME THING!! So we tried and tried and tried idk who's yall tech guy but yall need to live up to yalls word free app download to where we dont have to go to the website and add nobody and just be able to download the app this is the only app I used on this phone before I reset it please fix this problem before I go crazy and give Microsoft a baaaaaad report

INACTIVE FRAME DURATION TOOL.

I CUT THE FRAME DURATION DOWN TO 2.5 SECONDS TO FACILITATE INCLUDING IT IN AN E-MAIL. THEN SAVED IT. AFTER THAT WAS DONE I INTENDED TO CHANGE THE FRAME DURATION BACK TO 7 SECONDS. I OPENED THE FILE UP IN MOVIE MAKER LIVE TO DO THIS AND DISCOVERED THAT THE DURATION TOOL WAS INACTIVE NOW. WHY?? I LOADED SOME OTHER PHOTOS AND IT WORKED FINE.

Windows 10 Live Mail sync between desktop and laptop

When trying to get my MSN email to sync between my desktop and my laptop I get the message "Please enter your PIN to sign in" on my laptop.  What is this ? Both machines are running Windows 10 and Windows Live Mail 2012.  I have several email addresses and all others sync except my MSN address.  I tried deleting it completely from my laptop and re adding it and I get the same message "Please enter your PIN to sign in".  When I ignore that message and get to my email, I get the following message "Windows Live Mail is synchronizing this account.  Check back in a few minutes to read your messages."  This message has appeared for several hours with no activity !

Windows Live Mail has Photo album and Single photo greyed out, cannot attach.

As in the title, for some reason Photo album and Single photo attachment option has been greyed out and must send pictures now as a file attachment.  Any help out there?  Thanks!

loosing emails

When I go in to my emails to check for new posts, the first two or three new emails just roll off the top of the list never to be seen again. So when my list of new emails come in, the first two or three are gone and cannot find them in any other folder. Have checked deletes, junk, etc and they are gone. most of the time they aren't important, they might just be an ad or something but occasionally I have missed or lost an email sent that was important. anyone know why this happens?? thanks
