Windows Live Mail Archiving Problem

I archive my emails into multiple nested folders. ie 10 category folders. each containing 10 sub-folders and so on.

In total there are some 460 folders. When I try to archive an email I have read, all 400 folders appear in the list. Consequently I have to scroll down the entire list till I find the one I want.

I would prefer to Just have the top level open. e.g. FAMILY, FRIENDS, BUSINESS, GAGS, HOBBIES, FINANCE, SUPPLY OFFERS, TRAVEL, etc.

Then for example when I select the category HOBBIES and open it, it can then show the sub folders e.g. WOODWORK, GLASS, BEADING, PAINTING, SCULPTURE, etc.

If a subfolder stays open, that's fine, but when I close it, I want it to stay closed until I reopen it. 

In this way I will only ever have about 40 folders to scroll through.

How do I stop Windows Live Mail displaying all the folder levels at once?

I need to export my WLM 2013 to my OUTLOOK 2016.

I bought a new Laptop that has Windows 10-Outlook 2016. My old Laptop has Windows 8.1 and Windows Live Mail 2013. I'm trying to Export my mail from WLM to OUTLOOK, but for some reason the Microsoft Exchange isn't/doesn't work. Please help!

I need to export my WLM 2013 to my OUTLOOK 2016.

Yesteray I decided to download windows 10 and did so without difficulty,but 10 takes me almost 3 minutes to start all the programs,icons etc. from the time I push the start button on my computer until the program icons appear on my computer. This is unaccepatable to me  and possibly the time could be reduced at the msconfig level deleting or disabling various apps,services etc. But I would have to take this to my techie and his time costs..  I therefore switched back to windows 7  and my startup time is less than a minute.  Anyway in windows 10, live mail worked fine and I could delete any messages without a window appearing saying an error has ocurred and it could not be performed.  On reinstalling  live mail on windows 7  I started having these deletion problems  as I have in the past. This is extremely frustrating as I have done repairs, reinstalling without any success.   I see that windows 7 live mail has had many problems in the past which have not been corrected by your co..  Otherwise  I like live e-mail mail 2012 the way I can set up folders  and its general configuration,but have been looking at Mozilla<s thunderbird e-mail client but it lacks many features of your program. What is going on with your e-mail program in windows 7?  What is the permanent fix for this!  Thanks and I hope you can help.

I have Windows 7, 64x and Windows Live Mail.  I do not have Skype, but I have tried to download it recently, thinking it was free.  Backed out and deleted when I learned otherwise (I say this because some help answers mention Skype as a possible culprit to my problem):

1.  I cannot delete any WLM contacts.  I go through the process, as I have in the past, and everything looks good, but when I confirm I want to delete the contact, it just doesn't go away.  I've tried several contacts and none of them will delete.

2.  WLM also won't let me add any contacts either.  I get the message, "The message could not be saved.  Check the contact's information and try again."  

Is there anyone out there who has had a similar problem and found an answer?

Windows Live Movie Maker: File is incompatible or corrupt

I am using Windows Live Movie maker on Windows Vista. I am also creating the project on my school desktop computers' Live Movie Maker. 

After I created and saved my work at school, and then tried to open the project on vista, the file is not compatible with it or it may be corrupted. Yet when I go back to school, it works. So what is the problem!??

 How do I fix it so that I can work on it at home and and at school?

Please help. This is extremely important and I cannot seem to find the satisfactory answer!
