I installed the patch described in the email received and when I loaded Live mail 2012 it deleted itself. I decided to restore my PC back to Dec 4th which was last restore point.
The PC rebooted and I got the Blue screen saying error occured and would reboo.t the reboot failed in the same way.
As I had a system image on an external from a week ago I decided to restore that.
This failed as it informed me that the hard drive was corrupted.
I then decided to rebuild the PC using a copy of Win 10 version 1511, this started and informed me that the hard drive was incompatible format Bios
Trying to read the hard drive on another PC it was not recognised. I then installed a new drive into the failed PC and everything installed OK Luckily all my personal files were backed up.
I was attempting to send an image via Windows Live Mail but don't know what I did wrong. Now I cannot get into my Windows Live Mail. I have never before been asked for a password but it is now asking for one. Even when I enter what I thought was the Password it won't accept it. PLEASE help as now I can no longer access my email.

I AM USING WINDOWS LIVE MAIL 2012. I RECEIVED THE E-MAIL FROM 'MS' ABOUT THE UPDATE TO THIS S/W FOR USERS OF WIN.10 AND ALSO URGING WIN.10 USERS TO USE THE BUILT IN E-MAIL PROGRAMME INSTEAD.
I UPDATED MY WINDOWS LIVE MAIL 2012 S/W AND ALSO TRIED TO CONFIGURE THE BUILT IN E-MAIL PROGRAMME. AS I DIDN'T LIKE THE ONE WITH WIN. 10 I CONTINUED USING WINDOWS LIVE MAIL 2012.
BUT TODAY I WAS HORRIFIED TO SEE THAT FOR ALL THE E-MAILS THAT I HAD SENT FROM ALL MY E-MAIL ACCOUNTS SINCE THAT DAY ARE SHOWING THE 'To' AS MY OWN E-MAIL I.D. i.e., SAME AS THE 'From'. I THINK THIS MISTAKE MUST HAVE CREPT IN WHEN THE S/W WAS UPDATED & THAT THERE MAY BE GLITCH IN THAT.
I ALSO OBSERVED THAT THE 'Account' COLUMN IS ALSO BLANK NOW FOR BOTH THE ACCOUNTS IN THE SENT FOLDER.
ANOTHER THING I HAVE OBSERVED NOW IS THAT IN BOTH THE ACCOUNTS IN THE JUNK FOLDER THE 'From' IS NOW SHOWING BLANK. SO, IF ANY WANTED E-MAIL HAS GONE TO JUNK FOLDER, I HAVE TO MOVE ALL THE JUNK TO MY INBOX BEFORE I CAN SEE THE SENDER'S NAME TO CONFIRM IF THE SAME IS WANTED OR NOT. THIS IS QUITE AN IRRITANT.
DOES 'MS' OR ANYBODY HAVE A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM OR IS THERE A 'FIX' AVAILABLE NOW FOR THIS ?
PLEASE SUGGEST REMEDY.

I responded to the Microsoft email, stating I should update my WLM 2012.
After I followed directions, it stopped working. No incoming email and cannot send. I am running W7 and before the update, WLM always ran perfectly and for years. I still use one of the old msn.com email addresses. Did a repair, but still not working. I now
receive the following message..
Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (---------) account.
Server Error: 0x80048820
Server: 'https://m.hotmail.com/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048820
I worry about actually uninstalling it, since I have tons of saved important emails there, going back many years.
Any help would be so appreciated.
Original Title: Email design
How can I access or form a background design for my emails? I am using Live mail.
Every time I try to send an email in Live Mail 2012 the message goes to the Outbox and doesn't get sent. I have read some of the suggestions given to others with this problem, such as moving the outgoing messages to a new folder and deleting the Outbox. However, I can't delete the Outbox because that option is grayed out. Another suggestion was to make a new folder, move all Inbox messages to it, make another new folder, move sent messages to that and delete the Sent folder. But the Sent folder is also grayed out. If I exit Live Mail a message box pops up telling me that there are messages in the Outbox and do I want to send them. When I say yes an error box pops up after several seconds. The error is:
The connection to the server has failed.
Subject 'test moved messages'
Server: 'smtp-mail.outlook.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): Yes
Socket Error: 10013
I have tried Port 25, Port 887 and Port 587 for outgoing messages and this error pops up every time. Obviously, I cannot send myself a message via Live Mail because it goes immediately to the Outbox and sits there. However, I can send a message to myself via Outlook.com and some time later it will appear in Live Mail's inbox. I much prefer Live Mail as an email client and would like to get this problem resolved.
Any help will be appreciated.
