Tried to find another, more direct way in which to open and finalize draft e-mails, an approach described in >>http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-files/missing-2-saved-folders-in-windows-live-mail/0dc83d43-b233-4e78-93a8-255bccdec633<<

1. Folder display options were setup with the selections required, and

then Windows Explorer was reopened, per those instructions and I navigated

"

C:Usersyour nameAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live Mail

(Where 'your name' is the name of the account that you use to logon to Windows 7)

2.  From there I "... saw all of the WLM storage folders. Each email account will have its own group of folders.

c. Any general storage folders that you created will under the main Storage Folder item.

3. Make a copy of the Windows Live Mail folders previous version.

a. Right click the Windows Live Mail folder and select Properties / Previous Versions Tab

b. After the list populates, select a version of the folder with a date and time prior to when the folders were deleted

There was/were no Windows Love Mail Folder(s) previous version, and there were no files in the DRAFT or the SENT folders no matter which option under Properties was chosen, and no previous version objects could be located (because this is the recent, original installation and setup?

However when I opened the Main Windows Live Mail Window, then clicking on "Draft" and "Sent" files were displayed and could be retrieved.

So that is the only way to do it, no direct shortcut I could build or make?  BTW only the WLM 2012 files were ever setup, and only once

Thanks

Hi. I upgraded to Windows 10 but decided I didn't like it. After seeing we could roll back to Windows 7 (or 8) I clicked to roll back and uninstalled Windows 10. All was fine with Windows 7 starting again until I opened Windows Live Mail. All of my emails are gone. I've tried importing them from where I thought they were located (ie. Appdata/local/Microsoft/WindowsLiveMail. It seemed to be importing emails however when I looked I discovered they were my old, old emails pre-2012, from when I had imported those ones from an old computer onto my current one. I tried again and found a different location (under different User... one had been my name, one was admin)... and imported, these looked like the right folders, but when I click to look in them (in storage folders and then double clicking each folder) nothing is there. It looks like new folders have been made. My hotmail emails seem fine but I don't often use that account. It is my other personal email addresses and website email addresses that I am more concerned about. Anyone else rolled back from Windows 10 to Windows 7 or know where the emails could be.  How can I get them back?

While making a video containing text everything seems fine however when I finish the video and save it, there are some bits in the text that are not fading away when when the text has finished, I want to ask is there any way to fix this as I have already tried reinstalling movie maker but it didn't work?

When I right click on a picture in the photo gallery to send through e-mail, the list doesn't say e-mail any more.  How can I add it to the option list?  Windows 10
stop signing into windows live mail

As of today one of my hotmail accounts has stopped getting email on WLM. WLM has been patched with the 17.12.15 patch released by MS but this has made no difference. Have deleted the account and readded it and it appeared to be working ok but later on today mails are not arriving. I have another hotmail account which IS working and getting test emails. Also Windows 10 Mail app sees the emails but I cant make new folders and store emails on that. Any ideas?

Tim

I have serveral computers with the Windows 8.1 OS. I absolutely do not like the Windows Outlook mail that comes with 8.1. I installed Windows Live Mail 2012 onto the computers. I have entered in the proper information for incoming and outgoing mail in the Live Mail 2012 but when trying to send a message I get an error message saying it cannot locate my POP3 host. But it appears that I can receive a message in the Live Mail 2012 using the smtp configuration. Does Windows Live Mail 2012 work in the 8.1 OS?  If it can work then how do I get it to send out emails.

Split from this thread.

I have Windows 7 pro 64bit, Windows Live Mail 2012, on my new computer. I have three email accounts, two of them are hotmail accounts and one msn email account. The Hotmail accounts are working just fine but I cannot send or receive email from the msn account, I got this error message "Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EE2” I checked the server address and this is what I found "https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/sync.aspx”.  Now I don't get an error message any more. It just doesn't send or receive from the msn account. I did change my password in mid December  of 2015. The password works online at Outlook just fine.

I need help

Thanks in advance
