I am working in Movie Maker for the first time and I am adding in little bursts of sound (Chewbacca noises actually) in some spots.  If I do them all in order and make no changes it is fine.  But I have to go back and add or delete one in the middle of the movie ... they all move. It is like they are somehow connected in a continuum and making an edit in the middle lengthens or shortens the continuum which changes the position of each audio segment.  Please help, I am in a crunch to get this done tonight for a very large school event tomorrow evening.

I downloaded my pictures from IPhone and they went to the Photo Gallery.  I want to move them to picture folder.

How do you do that?

How will we know when or if Microsoft issues another version of KB3093594 (latest is 12/17/2015) to correct the synchronization issues with WLM 2012, win. 7?  The latest "fix" isn't working, and I'm not comfortable in loading/reloading this program since I'm not "tech savvy."

With SQL Server 2005 End of Support rapidly approaching on April 12, 2016, is there a recommend upgrade path for the SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition that is required by Photo Gallery which is installed with Windows Essentials 2012?

Hi,

I am trying to help a friend who turned off their computer mid update causing all sorts of weirdness with the system after it finally booted again. Due to this, we decided a clean install was probably the best move and we did so.

It all seemed to be running well, then I noticed that I could no longer access my old emails in WLM.

I had backed up the entire appdata/Microsoft/Windows Live Mail folder and the account seems to be working fine other than this - new mails downloading, etc. The old messages seem to be there in their folders, I just can't open them.

Selecting an email causes the view panel to say they had "not been downloaded" and attempting to open them (via doubleclick) returned :

"A problem has occured when trying to open this message.  A problem has occured. Please try again"

Needless to say, trying again did not help.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled essentials and repaired it also via the installed programs menu.   -- to no effect

I have used esentutl.exe -d "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"  -- to no effect

I even tried esentutl.exe -p "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"--to no effect

Any help is much appreceated.

I have spent many hours on this already and am at my wits end.

I use Windows Live Mail on a computer running Windows 10 but it regularly puts up a message telling me 'Something unexpected has happened and it needs to close down'.

I have tried Repair several times but to no avail.

Anyone got any ideas?

Regards,

Melvin

The old Movie maker (in Wondows XP, good rest its soul and I wish I had it back) gave you an option to select an exact file size, then the program would render it to that size.

WHY on Earth would someone remove such an amazing option?

People still have email accounts that will not let you exceed 20mb. This option was great.

I choose to save a 70mb video (mp4) to the option labeled "for email" and it saved it as 700mb!  10 times the size!

Come on! WHERE is Microsoft's head? (that's a rhetorical question, we all know where it is, but can we get it out for a breather?)

OK, is there that option hidden somewhere where I don't see it?
