Original title: Windows7 Live Mail

Lately every morning when I open Windows Live my Contact Categories disappear! No way I can retrieve them.

I need them because I have different groups of people I am in contact with.

Any suggestions?

Hi all !

When I move the cursor to a point over my timeline I'm not able to split both (audio and video) in at same time, at same point, with just one click. I have to choose between Video Tools -> Split or Narration Tools -> Split first and than other one, but frequently I face a problem, the audio disappears from that point forward.

I've tried unsuccessfully to click on video and later on audio, and vice versa, pressing Shift or Ctrl, to select both and then split together.

Answering likely questions:

    - Windows 7

    - Movie Maker 2012 (Live Essentials - build 16.4.3528.0331) - latest version

    - I don't have problem with codecs or something else (I can watch and listen properly on preview before start editing)

I just wanna a single button or shortcut to split audio and video together.

Could someone help me?

Thanks in advanced !

Can I set up Live Mail 2011 to delete emails off the outlook server once downloaded to it? I can do that with other servers, but the Advanced tab is not available for Outlook addresses.

Or do they drop off the server after a specified time anyway?

This is my second request as my first did not generate much enthusiasm, except for considerate_guy.  I have windows 7.  I downloaded Essential 2012 March 2014 for live mail and did not use any of the other programs in the bundle until this month and Movie Maker worked perfectly.  My mistake - I downloaded Essential 2012 again not realizing it was not an update but the same one I already had and at that point Movie Maker no longer worked.  All research indicated the graphics card was at fault.  Should have realized that could not be it as it worked before and I have made no changes, other than the download of Essentials 2012.  The research said KB2741355 would fix the DirectX9 issue but when I tried that Microsoft said it wasn't applicable.  I have two video cards - Intel and Nvidia - and Microsoft's recommendation for Intel, version 8.15.10.2761, (it supposedly updates 2321) does not exist or at least Intel does not list it on it's website.  Intel's utility indicates there is no update.  Nvidia had an update for the GeForce 525M and I did that.  Both cards support Direct X9 or higher.  I can only conclude the graphics card is not the problem.

Then there is the issue of D3dll.dll creating an access violation.  It appeared that Microsoft was going to correct that with a new version of Essentials 2012.  Did they, I'm not sure.  The version I had that worked was 16.4.3528.0331.  The versions that were quoted in the 2012 posts were 14.4.3505.0913 and 16.4.3503.728.  The version I have been downloading is V3.

I have downloaded Essentials three times, using the command line, wlarp.exe, Microsoft Programs and CCCleaner.  Each time all was deleted except the Windows Live folders with nothing inside them.  Each time all programs function except Movie Maker.

I would really appreciate some clarity.  I was hoping Microsoft would weigh in and at least point the finger at something. I spent a great deal of time trying to figure this out.  I spent even more time editing home videos and putting them in Microsoft's Projects files .wlmp and no one recognizes them.  Lost work, will have to do all over again if I can't get this resolved.

Changing the title

Old title – Movie Maker 2

New title – Movie Maker is not working

In all the new microsoft photo edit programs you have failed to provide recognition of your mix format from Picture it and the Image program. The old programs don't work well in Windows 10 and you caution use of converters available on the web.

Please provide us a microsoft solution to the mess you created!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm running Windows 7, not sure what version of movie maker.

For some reason when I open 1 .jpg or multiple .jpg files I'm getting 3 images in wmm.

Video files are ok. Can anybody suggest what is going on?

Hi so I have just recently downloaded windows 10, and I went to open my old movie maker file that I made back in summer; when I still had windows 7. So today I went to open the project and it said

" Your system is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020"  - Every time I open it, it says this now.

I was just wondering if anyone knew how I could fix this as I love the video that isn't open as it's from my younger childhood, and took me ages to edit, I would be so grateful if I would be able to fix it as I really want to watch this video again Thank you all.
