Windows Live Mail FAQ
Hello,
I would like to ask for your help.
I bought Office 2016 to avoid problems with Excel 2002 and Windows Live Mail 2012 on my Windows 10.
Unfortunately I am not able to move messages from WLM to Outlook, because transfer crashes in a while.
I searched a lot on Google and I got know, that problem could be corrupted e-mails.
But there is no chance to find such messages, because there are thousands of them in tents folders.
Do you have some solution?

Just a few days ago - Windows Live Mail - which has been operating on Windows 10 since I installed 10 months ago stopped working and I get the following message
Server Response: The server did not respond to this IMAP command before the connection was terminated.
Server: 'IMAP.charter.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 143
Secure(SSL): No
I have run Essentials repair - I have tried switching to POP - I have contacted the server techies also - but to no avail. I have created a new account - and it added all the data from the IMAP account on this computer - but then failed with the same message
when the 'get' tried to execute.
Also tried to sync Windows 10 new mail program - and it will not sync.
Is this a Windows 10 problem - if so it is new? If it is a server problem - then they should have experienced this with other customers.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi!
I'm using Windows 10 and the movie maker was working perfectly well before but after doing the recommended updates now I can no longer use the Movie Maker and gives me the message that "MSVCR110.dll" is missing in my computer, what should I do? How can I restore the movie maker in my computer? Thanks!
windows 10 upgraded ok, but cannot sign into windows live mail 2012,,. yes using Microsoft account password , yes that gets me into Microsoft account - so it is working , but still wont sign into live mail to synch contacts etc ,, ongoing problem for months ,, chatted with help desk multiple times , said no support try forums for help ,,.
fat lot of good they were! any one out there any better to resolve this issue before i drown in my tissue!!

I have win movie maker. I had to buy the windows dvd player (for win 10) b/c i could not open my dvds that i am copying on my magnavox vhs/dvd player.
the dvd's now open in a window that only allows me to view. so now i want to open them in WMM so i can crop and edit to make a new movie....
The dvd from the magnavox player has several files (vob is one of them)
when i tell WMM to add video, i can find the file on my drives, but WMM only opens 1 frame, not the whole video.
how can i either 1. edit the video in dvd player or 2. open these files in movie maker?
so frustrated...

I just got this desktop, and the headset is brand new. When I call someone on skype, they can hear me, but I can't hear them. When I go onto things like YouTube, I can hear things just fine, so it only doesn't work on skype. I checked the way it's plugged in a million times. After I fixed it by changing where the sound goes, my mic starts crackling like crazy. So if I can't hear the skype audio, my mic is just fine, but if I can hear them, my mic is crackling like crazy. What do I do?
