This has happened since virgin media had some technical problems but they have checked and can find no problems with my server settings and security etc. Not sure what to do as this is a real problem for me and I realy want to set up the automatic transfer of copies again.  Help, please?!

[Desktop Dell Inspiron 560 4gb RAM; high speed cable; MS Windows10

64bit; Windows Live Mail 2012(awful!!!); MS Word Pro 2003; Mozilla Firefox; Avast

AV; Windows Media Player; Adobe Reader; Adobe flash Player]

Hi, how can I move or transfer over to Photo Gallery, 2 folders with some pics inside, from a Pictures folder under "OneDrive", so I can then attach them to an email going to a friend?

When MS installed W10 in my computer, I couldn't find Photo Gallery anymore and all my pictures suddenly were in OneDrive.  I found it impossible to email my pictures from Photo App so I came back to Photo Gallery but I need to know how to put those 2 folders with pics inside Photo Gallery so I can email them to my friend.

Thanks ever so much for a very prompt help!    :o)

Since upgrading to Win10, I am now receiving the following error when Windows Live Mail tries to reach the Hotmail server (all my email accounts are Microsoft accounts (live  & msn accts):

Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (xxxxx) account.

Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

This is occurring on both my my computers that I converted to Win10.

  • I have looked at ALL the forums and tried everything that people on the forums have suggested.
  • I have completely uninstalled WLM (including Registry Entries).
  • I have tried to update the existing registry entries, per the suggestions in the forums.
  • I have tried running 'repair' instead of uninstall and that didn't help.
  • I have tried completely deleting the mail accounts that couldn't sync with the mail server, then I reinstalled those accounts, and that didn't help.
  • One forum entry I saw suggested that I use the 'Windows Mail' program that is included in Win10. However, after thoroughly searching for such a program (even asking Cortina for help), I found nothing (except WLM) on my computer.

I do not have MS Office on these computers. Otherwise, I would use Outlook.   I can access my mail accounts though Hotmail, but it doesn't have nearly the same features that WLM has.  Please, please help me get rid of this annoying error and access my email accounts from WLM.  Thank you!

Sarcasm alert. ;)  Real issue, but I have to insert my own form of humor.  (Depending on one's taste.)

After I installed the "urgent" update from January 16th, I had a problem with Word crashing every time I clicked on Format/Document.  I was told to completely de-install then re-install Outlook for Business/Home.

I was referred to article 2398768 to uninstall.  (I cannot believe there is not an uninstall program....this takes almost 2 hours.  There were 11 steps, each step included four to five sub-steps.  I had to reboot three times during the process.  I had to delete hundreds of files.  Boy were my fingers tired!)

The last step is to "Move the Microsoft User Data folder to the desktop."

The reinstall instructions assumed I had a disk, which I didn't.  It referred to the directions to download.  As usual, the entire process (including phone) required my re-typing or reciting the 25 character ID at least four times.  (Next, I will be required to provide my longitude and latitude to the 10th digit for every address I've ever had and ¼ of my genome sequence!)

The re-install provides "virginal" versions of the software.   I know I'l l have to spend some time customizing things once again....that's not too much of a problem.  The old word files and excel files are still in my documents folder.

But how do I get Outlook to "get back" my old emails? It opens with no accounts and no data.  I have a lot of email.  I'm guessing it might re-download the old mail from my live.com account and my gmail account. But isn't that already in my Microsoft User Data folder that I moved to the desktop?

I called Microsoft and once again they tried to tell me I had to pay to get this fixed.  (Isn't this like those companies that install a virus on your computer and require you to pay to remove it?)  Finally, I was referred to an article on how to rebuild your database.  But, I thought it needs to know where that database is....I didn't trust the answer.  (Suggestion to Microsoft: train staff to understand that there are spaces between words.  An entire sentence shouldn't be liaised into one word.  Perhapstherearenospacesinthetrainingmanualforstaffandtheydon'tknowthatspacesexist.)

So, in my own words, how do I get my old emails to the right place and get Outlook to have them?  And, what can I delete after I get this all working?

I've got El Salva.....errr El Capitan on a Macbook Pro late 2011.  I have bloodtype O, am a Pisces, and the computer monitor is facing North.  (My SMALL attempt at some dark humor, as I worry I've lost many years of email.)

Thanks in advance.
