I'm trying to be positive about changing to a new computer and getting everything set up the way I want it.  I was using Windows Live Mail to mange my Comcast mail account and really loved it.  I'm willing to give the new Mail a chance so I've tried setting it up by setting up my Microsoft account and following the directions.  My contacts actually showed up in People but when I try to send mail the screen says "still not synced".  Also, should I be able to see a place for folders, sent items, etc. ?  Those things are nowhere to be found.  Will they show up when the mail finally syncs and why isn't it syncing?  I read all the help menus and can find nothing else to do to get everything started.  If I install Windows Live Essentials 2012, will it work with Windows 10?  I've also noted that there is no option for forming groups in Windows Mail.  This is a deal breaker for me as I manage the email distribution list for my subdivision which I have divided into 4 groups of 100 contacts each.  How can I do this in Windows Mail?  If there is no way then this Mail app is useless for me.

Changing the title-  unable to send emails using Windows Live Mail and getting error "still not synced" and unable to find folders

Windows Live Mail 2012

In Windows 7, everything worked fine.

Now in Windows 10, I am receiving this error when trying to download mail from one server using POP3 over SSL on port 995:

Unable to send or receive messages for the *********@********.com account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Server: '********.com'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes

Nothing has changed on the server

I can download mail using a non-secured connection on port 25

I can send mail to SMTP over SSL on port 465

None of my account properties have changed

Email on a different server connects and downloads without error using these settings

I have tried with Defender turned off

I have tried with Firewall turned off

I have run out of ideas to try (except maybe rolling back to Windows 7).  Any suggestions?

Trimming certain m4v files creates a video with what I can only describle as a series of photographically negative looking frames at the start which suddenly corrects itself a few seconds to display normal video. The videos look the same on preview as the saved file played on vlc. Is there anyway to correct this problem?

After burning DVD the playback does not show video only audio. Does not allow you to save movie as AVI format.

I have scanned most of my old photos. Most are TIFF format and generally around 10-12 Mb in size. As these are pre-digital camera photos the  'date taken' actually reflects the scanning date; rather than the actual 'date taken'. I am trying to make the change in Windows Live Photo Gallery. Changing the scanning date to reflect the actual date taken is not the problem. The problem is that in making the change Windows arbitrarily not only changes the file format to JPEG but also (significantly) reduces the file size. I would like to be in control of what format and file sizes I want without being over ruled by Windows. Appreciate any advice on how to change the scanned 'date taken' to reflect the actual 'date taken' and retain my file format/file sizes.

Much appreciated

I can not send emails through WLM 2012.  I tried to scan a paper yesterday to send in an email. and ever since then my email won't send a message.  the emails are stuck in the OUTBOX.

Hello! I'm using Movie Maker to prepare raw MP4 files of me practicing the banjo before I post them on YouTube. What I'd like to do is put a powerpoint slide of the sheet music I'm practicing up in a corner of the screen so that it can be seen while me playing can also be seen and heard around the little square of sheet music. If Movie Maker can't do this, does anyone know some free or cheap software that can? Thanks!

I keep getting an error message when I open up outlook on my Mac. The error message says the following:

The server for account "Msn" returned the error "[AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid username or password.." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?

I have the correct username and password and still the same issue keeps happening. How do I resolve this issue?

some emails with photos in them as attachment will not open.
