I have a new problem with Windows Live Mail 2012

This was previously working fine on Windows 7

I updated to Windows 10 and it was still working fine but I had to return to windows 7 because PaperPort and FaxTalkPro were not working correctly and nobody could determine why.

After returning to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, Windows Live mail has some sort of error in the database.

Whenever I open a folder which contains old emails all of the emails have been duplicated and when I select one of these duplicated files it reports “message cannot be found”.  This duplicate can be deleted one at a time and can be deleted in bulk if each is selected individually but they cannot be deleted by selecting a range of files.

After deleting these files and exiting Windows Live and then re-entering it I get “Recovering Windows Live database”

These duplicate E-mails appear when I first enter a folder to review it’s E-mails

There are thousands of these duplicate E-mails to be deleted which will take days to do one at a time since I cannot delete them in bulk.

And I cannot clear out the deleted files folder either due to an unexplained error.

I have already run “Repair all windows live programs” which does not make any

difference.

I have tried to export the E-mails but the export is clearly incomplete and does not list all of the E-mails

I removed Windows Live Mail and reinstalled it and imported these E-mails and the result was incomplete.

I cannot find any other database repair procedure in any of your forums.

Is there any other way to repair a Windows Live database.

(come on, Microsoft, you have been programming for decades and database repair is a basic  database maintenance procedure from the beginning of database design)

I seek to see if others have been experiencing less than ethical activities with Office for Mac tech support. First, I have Office for Mac 365 that is required if you want technical support. What that seems to mean is that if you have one problem in a year, they may actually assist you But after that you have spend hours with a level ONE Technicians that don't speak English running amoc over your computer with suspicious access activities and a lot of what their doing not visible.

After an inordinate amount of time you might finally get transferred to a level two technician. Then you will be asked over and over about your administrative menutia (nearly to the first name of your grandmother).

So this week I had several issues, pop-ups asking for passwords, pop-ups saying that my email can't send. Then the level two technician seems to actually be trying to find a solution. But if that doesn't happen in a short period of time....then somehow mysteriously, we are disconnected.

So this week I called in as requested from Glen who actually gave me a Case # 1326625664 and the instructions that whomever was assigned to my call could access the notes on my problem. But after three persons couldn't locate the info, or didn't have a clue, I was repeatedly hung up on.

Finally they brought back Glen who did this and did that without resolving my problem but said he would call me the next morning. NOT a chance. Called several times today with level ONE persons reluctant to pass me on, getting on and off the phone seemingly for instructions on what to say...then telling me I could only be helped for a fee which isn't what I signed up for, paid for or actually got for service.

ONe more...called one time this week, had a woman insist that I give her my password, which of course I declined incredulously! She hung up, called to see if I could get to talk to someone and this time a seemingly competent person did some checking on my computer. Then this person shared that I had a Virus (meant Malware) and said he could switch me to the networking support as my IP address for networking was corrupted and he gave me a number he said was networking support.

They told me that it would cost around $500 for me to FIX my problem with continued service for 1 year,  or I would have to have 5 separate companies trying to collaborate which would not be feasible to find a solution.

By this time I was certain I was being scammed. But even the seemingly legit Microsoft for MAC were running me around and ultimately saying that I would have to pay additionally or ....else. I suspect that somewhere there, I was given a non-Microsoft 800 number, but that came from someone at Microsoft or that was as it appeared.

So I hope this too long an account of this week adds to the pile of what I believe many others go through. I hope that somehow this info gets to  MICROSOFT EXECUTIVE OFFICES...somehow an investigation is put together for this. It won't be too hard to identify who is on the hustle. But they most all have an accent and can't understand English.

I am using WIndows 10  Movie Maker 2012

Working on a project.  Importing short videos form I phone 6.  All MOV files.  Load and watch great in editing window of MM2012

When saving the project, whether as a Windows Media File, or as a MPG4 the videos are pixilated. Frozen.  You can hear the sound and the time bar continues to move the video along but the frozen picture jiggles and wiggles.  I have yet to try videos from my video camera on here.  I use this to edit then make my home family DVD's.

Curious if I am using a version not compatible and perhaps if there is a product better suited.

Hello ,

I forget my passpowrd of my email. I did rest the password and follow the instructions. When put my alternative email to get the verification code, I did not get it at all. I have this problem since last September. How can get that veriffication code in order rest my password.

Thank you

Original Title: Microsoft 2011 Live Mail.

Hello:

A few months ago I upgraded and installed Windows 10.

Since I have noticed issues with my email....no problem sending or receiving but a lot of times when I click an incoming message I get a BING sound and a dialog box appears...then I X it out. Likewise when I send a message.

I discussed this with my service provider and they said the email is working fine..it might be a firewall issue or something related to the window 10 download.

Can you help. It is very annoying

Thank'you

Bob
