Question about Outlook Express

Old title: Email folders

I was using Windows Live Mail last night when I got an error message that the server had experienced difficulties and had shut down. Immediately in a flash two of my folders that I store emails on disappeared. I have searched every place I can think of, called my provider, and lastly Microsoft. The Charter person searched for them and could not locate them on Charter's servers, but she did find that since I was using WLM, they were stored on a Microsoft server. Called them and their help wanted me to subscribe or pay $99 for a fix. I have owned Microsoft 10 for about 2 months and find that infuriating. I went into control panel and looked into the hidden folders and drives options but that did not help either. Is there somewhere or somehow to retrieve these two folder? Thank you.

Another day another WLM problem from Microsoft.....

Whenever I try to use my Junk Mail button in WLM to delete emails coming from my Outlook.com (Preview) account the button keeps giving me the message :  The selected message(s) could not be moved.  A problem has occurred. Please try again.

The button in WLM works when I use it for host supported email account.  Seems like another bug between WLM and Outlook.com (Preview).

Can anyone help correct this technical issue that has been persisting for weeks please?

Original Title: Windows 10 mail.

HI

I am just about to upgrade our main PC's to windows 10 and would like to use the Mail App

The thing is that we have both been using Windows Live Mail on our current Win7 PC's

We both have android phones with Google accounts so I think I can get all the contacts into Windows 10 Mail by using our Google accounts to to sych them over--this worked on an old laptop that I am using as a test machine

The problem is that we both have loads of emails in folders stored in Windows Live Mail

Can we get them over or do we loose them in which case we will stick to Windows Live Mail once we are using Windows 10.

I tested this on an old laptop and it seems you can continue to use Windows Live Mail in Windows 10

when playing a movie maker mp4 files on my android it will play fine but if I want to watch the a scene again and I back up the video, it will start from the beginning.   I have to wait until the video gets to the point on the timeline that I chose. 

For example:

I watch a video and 60 seconds into the video I want to rewind back to 45 seconds.  If I slide the bar at the bottom back to 45 seconds the movie pauses and the timeline starts over from the beginning.  once 45 seconds has elapses my video starts playing again. 

this happens on two android phones. 

the original move that has not been through movie makers works just fine.  I can move ahead in time or replay moments in the past. 

The same is true for a movie maker mp4 on my pc.  I can move around in time. 

only problem I have is an MP4 from Moviemaker on  my phone. 

I have tried different players and all have the same result. 

Any ideas on what to try.
