Question about Outlook Express

I have just installed essentials encoder from a free download from microsoft.

When I complete the settigs I want on the bar and click ok everything seems ok.

However, when the video I want to encode comes on the screen and I open the encoder to make the copy, the screen goes a little darker and the start button on the encoder wont function - in fact nothing on the screen will work - I have to go into task manager to shut things down.

I did have the program on a previous set up and everything worked fine........now nothing.

any help would be great

I can only find older articles on this question for some reason, and none of them give a straight answer.

I have the complete folder structure available to me from an unbootable computer.

I need to get the contacts back from a POP email account that was in Windows Live Mail 2012.

Is there a straightforward way of doing this? The system was running Windows 8 I think, but It may have been 7.

When I go into uninstall/repair it will not repair essentials. I have tried three times. It states did not repair try again. Is there a way to reinstall essentials?  I am having trouble with Movie Maker. I do not have a disc and must get it from the web.

My email is set on my name, My account name is perfectly fine with my Name as Muhammad Uns but whenever I send an email it goes with another name i.e my Girlfriend's name and this is so Embarrassing for me. Every time I send an email or somebody else is sending me an email my Name on the thread is automatically changed.

I have tried everything have corrected almost every name attached to my account but still the problem persist!!!
