Question about Outlook Express

I can no longer delete anything in Windows Live Mail. I can't delete messages that I've read. I can't empty the 'Deleted', 'Sent', or 'Junk' folders.  I can't delete a storage folder that I am no longer using.  I simply can't delete anything.

I have removed and then re-installed my email account[s]. That didn't help.

I completely uninstalled Windows Live Mail and then reinstalled it and that didn't help.

I tried 'restoring my computer' back to a point in which I knew that Windows Live Mail was working correctly, and that didn't help.

How can I disable the window that says "Sing In to Windows Live Mail" that appears when I launch Outlook on my desktop?

1. I am very new to all this high tech stuff. I have desire to learn but sometimes I wonder if I have enough sanity left. I get overwhelmed and almost get talked into purchsassing , sday san example would be a service called soda pd. do you need an internet printer? do you need the wizard? how about sending your files to a place called one drive. I purchased that service but now I am wondering if I even need it. plus how many internet sites can you be hooked up to and then do you need to add or purchase different  default procerdures. I am going crazy with all the wizards and gizzards. is there a good reference book. how about "wikipeidia"
