I have windows 10 and Windows Live Mail 2012. When attempting to send email it goes to Outbox and i cannot move on from there.. Does anyone have an answer please?

Windows Live Mail 2012 has stopped sending / forwarding in Windows 10.  Worked for a year, stopped within the last 45 days.  Have tried uninstalling WLM and reinstalling, but same.  No sending or forwarding.  Any help?
