I used Windows Movie Maker for the first time, and I like the product I put together, HOWEVER, the published movie regardless of the output file type has this weird wavy haze on the videos that are in the file. (Hard to describe, videos play normally, sound is not affected, but video quality is poor). This is not seen when playing in Windows movie maker in project mode, and the original files were shot on a sony camcorder and transferred to my hard drive as .MTS files. The files play normally before being edited with no video issues, it's only when the file is converted, and I have tried at different quality levels and saving as both a MPEG4 and WMV file.
Any help, it would sure be appreciated!

Movie maker says they support AVI files, but when I try to insert a video clip that is in the AVI format it doesn't work. Youtube also supports AVI files so I tried uploading it there to see if it was the file or Movie Maker. Surprisingly enough it worked there, but still not on movie maker.
So my question is.
1. Is there any known solutions to this problem?
2. Could I maybe convert an Mp4 or an AVI file to a working Movie Maker file
