So lately I've been using Movie Maker to edit a lot of my videos. Unfortunately it's been giving me great struggles. I am a teenage boy, so my knowledge of editing softwares  and behind the scenes info are limited. I apologize ahead of time if I don't grasp what you're trying to say the first time. My problem starts with splitting videos in Movie Maker. When I split a video, it often takes Movie Maker a minute to load the two (now seperate) videos. After it has loaded and I continue to do this to other videos in movie maker (Splitting them and deleting parts I don't want) I started to realize when I played the video in the viewing box to the left that it was a black screen. Sometimes I think Movie Maker is just being slow, so I leave it to load, and once and a while this works. But more often than not, the black screen stays. This is a huge problem when trying to trim down and edit areas out of the video I don't want. I am trying to make a montage, but if I can't see the screen, I have nothing to work with. The audio still works when playing through this black screen, and some of the split videos still work. If you have any ideas of what may be causing this, or if I've run into a bug, please let me know!

Some info of my Movie Maker I am aware of consists of:

*I am using Windows 8.1

*I have a lot of memory stored in Movie Maker that may be slowing it down (Are there any ways to speed it up?)

Thanks again!

Every time it crashes at a different spot. sometimes it gets farther along than other times. I have this problem with almost every movie editor I use on this machine. Im using Windows 7 Im fully up to date on ALL drivers. I tried using a different codec pack, Ive repaired Essentials 2012 as well. I tried pulling out different parts of the movie and making it shorter. I was able to get it to complete by pulling out everything except about 10% of the full movie.

My computer:
Intel I7 - 3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz
RAM: 20.0 GB 16 usable

64 bit OS
Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium
I'm beginning to think its a hardware issue but I wanted to try you guys as a last ditch effort.

Please help.

I use Windows Live Mail in conjunction with Windows 10.  Generally no problems.

Today, two messages I tried to send via my Astound (Wave) account did not go; they remain in my outbox.  I click each separate message and click send/receive; nothing happens.

The tech folks at Astound won’t help, since they do not support Microsoft products.  I can’t find anything on the MS website that directly addresses the matter.

Can anyone offer suggestions on how to get the Outbox messages on their way?
