My windows live mail will not open--I have tried to go to windows essential and repair and it goes all the way through without stopping and then says that I have lost my internet connection.  Help I have a lot of valuable emails and addresses that I need to access.

Dear Microsoft Community:

I recently upgraded my PC operating system from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. At first I had a difficult time finding my way around, but now for most functions and apps, I enjoy working with Windows 10.

My question is concerning the E-mail function. I have searched everywhere on the main screens and settings options, but I have not been able to find where I can expand my messages to full screen mode. With Windows 8.1, I was able to expand the screen. I have an ASUS 200 PC Notebook with touch screen & magnifying capabilities, however, I have very poor eyesight and need to enlarge the screen quite often.

Please show me how I may find the full screen mode for my messages. It would be a BIG help.

Thank you for your kind assistance.

Cordially,

Gary H. Horton

My wife is literally in tears over the repeated loss of e-mails from her Windows Live program. I'm convinced that the problem is related to this mysterious "synching." She still uses a Windows 7 laptop occasionally and consults the Community now and then from that computer.
Here is my very important question: Is it possible to convert her Windows 10 logon to a "local account" that will behave exactly as it would if it were on Windows 7? She could do her normal computing (e-mail, Facebook, and some document writing and printing) but would have to log on to her Microsoft account in order to use the Microsoft Store or access the cloud. But, and this is the critical point, any mail on her Windows 10 laptop would stay there unless and until she moved or deleted it!
If it's possible to convert her logon to a local account on Windows 10, please tell us how.
Thanks very much.

Addendum: Alternately, is there something she can do on her Windows 7 laptop to prevent if from being synched with the Windows 10 computer? If the only solution is to delete the user account and give up use of the Windows 7 pc she would be willing to do that!

This is a really serious issue. We will be eternally grateful for a solution.

PS: I don't know if this is relevant, but she also uses an Android smartphone, and only very rarely reads e-mail on it. This has never been a problem in the past as the Android does not remove the mails from the server.

PPS: It also occurs to me that the Windows Live Mail program on the Windows 7 laptop is still using the POP3 format and deletes mail after it has been downloaded. Is there a possible solution here also?

This morning after receiving many E-mail messages, when I open WLMail, it stops of "Authorizing" and a windows appears asking for my E-mail address and password. What do I have to do to get the E-mails to download.

I am trying to edit the transitions. It appears to only allow me to "apply to all" This version doesn't seem to have the same visuals as seen on the support page, where it is very evident where transitions are on the storyboard. Am I missing something??
