Question about Outlook Express

Despite my not consenting to an upgrade, Windows 10 appeared on my computer overnight about a week ago. Formerly, I used Windows 8 and was happy with that program. Windows 10 was one problem after the next, including the disappearing cursor that took me forever to fix.

My bigger problem is a movie I have that I made on Windows 8, MM2.6.  It worked fine there. When I opened it in 2.6 in Windows 10, I couldn't render the file-kept getting a message "cannot save."  Finally fed up, I recovered Windows 8. Although I can almost fully load my movie again there in MM2.6, it won't open. Instead I get a message that says "unspecified error."

I'm now stuck between both programs and unable to open or render my program in either. It appears to me that after I transferred my movie to Windows 10 and saved it there (as well as another short video file that I made with MM2.6), something in Windows 10 changed both of those files that no longer allows me to open it in Windows 8.  I can still open all my other video files made with MM2.6 in Windows 8, just not these 2.

And someone else with Windows 8, MM 2.6, that I sent my video file to, also cannot open it in Windows 8.

Something changed with these 2 files with Windows 10 and I need to change it back so I can open it. Compatibility scans show nothing.

I also thought about setting a restore point before the Windows 10 upgrade, but Windows 8.1 doesn't allow the administrator privileges to manually do so. It only allows a preset restore point of a few days ago which is not enough as the Windows 10 upgrade occurred about a week ago.

Such a mess.  Please help.

I am using onenote 2016 on windows 10 and having issues sending emails using the 'Share' or 'Email page' option. My default email is set to windows live mail, which it opens but when I click on send it comes with the following error message

Could someone please help me  with my Hotmail e mail in windows live mail  12, I have noticed I can not send or receive e mails.

I keep getting an error message and I do not know what to do to fix this problem.

I am using windows 7 home premium sp1  on a HP laptop

I had the issue of the Mail program in WLM freezing (not responding) when I try to open a PDF attachment. I looked on this forum already and one bit of advice that got good results was to turn off Offline and Folders Sync. I have been in every location on WLM and there is no place I can find to allow me to do this. So, where do I find it?

I recently upgraded my Samsung I5 laptop to Windows 10.  I attempted to make a movie with Windows Live Movie Maker (WLMM), which I assume was installed / upgraded as part of the Windows 10 upgrade.

As long as I am making a movie consisting only of still photos, everything works fine.  But when I tried to include an MOV file from my iPhone 6, WLMM gave me an error code (file corrupted).  I think the error code was 87260103.

I took the MOV file to a Vista PC and converted it to WMV format, and then brought the WMV file back to my Windows 10 PC. Windows media player on Windows 10 can play the WMV file just fine, but when I import it to WLMM, I still get the same error code (file corrupted / not readable).  What gives?

Out of desperation I installed Windows Essentials 2012 in order to get Windows Movie Maker (WMM) which looks the same as WLMM but is obviously different.  Using WMM on Windows 10, I can include my MOV and WMV video files into a project without errors.   In other words, WMM (from 2012) works better than the WLMM that was installed/upgraded as part of Windows 10.

When you ask questions about WLMM and Windows 10 on the support website, you get a jumbled mess of useless answers related to both WLMM and WMM on windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, etc.  

My questions to the community (and Microsoft) are:

(1) Why does WMM from 2012 work better than the WLMM installed as part of Windows 10? 

(2) Which is the preferred movie maker for Windows, going forward - WMM or WLMM?  

(3) Is WLMM going to be fixed / upgraded, or should I just delete it?  Has it been discontinued and I did not get the memo?

(4) When I search the support website about a problem on Windows 10, why do I have to plow through useless answers that date back to 2010 and even Windows Vista?

it then assumed it must be spam and blocked me from the account. I spent two hours last night with two different technicians and they kept telling me to change my password which I did multiple times. I also got a phone call back this morning from Microsoft by which time I had got into the account via my iPad and could access my emails on the iMac. Thinking it was sorted I let him go and then realised that I was unable to send emails from the iMac but still able to from my old PC and iPad. What do I need to do to be able to send from the iMac. I have divided my mailing list into small groups so if I fix this now it should not happen again,
