Original title: Windows 10 Movie Maker

I tried opening a current project I'm working on it this is the response.  Sorry Movie Maker cannot open this file.   It might not be compatible or corrupted.   What do I do if it is corrupted?

The question is simple, the solution seems to be difficult to find:

How do I download messages from a certain timeframe only when using a newly installed Windows Live Mail with a POP client?

I have thousands of e-mails on the server that have previously been downloaded.

The old Windows Live Mail directory containing all of these e-mails has been moved and saved before the reinstall and I do not want to redownload all of these messages as it would take an entire day and would be completely meaningless.

I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1.  I have been using WLPG to download and save photos from a ScanDisk 128mb Compact Flash card using a card reader.  These pictures are from a special camera in an eye doctors office.  I have been able to transfer the photos from the disk to the computer since 2014.  All of a sudden the last time I have been able to do it was the end of May of 2016.  When I put the card it to read, even though the card has photos on it, WLPG keeps saying the folder is empty.  The camera only saves in .tif format.  We have tried new disks, a new reader, a different laptop, a newer camera and still have the same problem.  We need to be able to transfer these pictures off the disks for future reference but I have exhausted all my ideas.  The camera instruction manual says that the photos should open on any PC with no special programs. I am desperate.  I already have one disk that the only way I can read the photos on it is only in the camera.  The PC says the folder is corrupt.  Please help.

Every time I close WLM, I get the error shown.

I tried a repair.

I do not want to have to re-download over 60,000 emails form my pop server so I have not tried re-installing.

Help? Please?

Since Microsoft does not have a 2016 photo gallery with editing features I finally got 2012 photo gallery downloaded (thru 2012 windows essentials) on my 2016 laptop with Windows 10.  When opening the photos thru Files Explorer I have no problem getting a full view of each single photo even when scrolling through them.  When I open up 2012 photo gallery, then a file and photo, to view in full display the upper left hand corner of each one has a small square area that is plank.  FYI, since downloading some photos I have not played with any of the editing options.  It also doesn't matter whether the photos were downloaded by various cell phone or cameras so it can't be their settings.  Even when I deleted the software and downloaded it again it is does the same thing.  To make it even stranger it only does it when I open an individual photo or slowly move to the next frame.  If I speed it up the forwarding movement (by click real fast... 2-4 times)  then it allows the ending photo to show in full view!

Has anybody experience the problem?

I am using Microsoft Live Mail to aggregate emails from two Comcast email accounts.  It successfully imports the email from both; but only from the "inbox"   How can I import the others emails in those accounts, which are in other folders & sub-folders?

I found the "Download all folders" option by righ-clicking on the account name (which leads me to believe the capability exists in WLM); but it is grayed-out  ...
