I've installed Windows Live Mail 2012 on a new laptop & Windows 10.  During install I was presented a screen of all WLM folders from my primary email account, with the option of selecting individual folders.  I didn't want some folders so I selected my input folder for the account,  Incorrectly thinking there'd be a way to recycle the process and, that way, selectively download folders.

Well, that was a mistake because I can find no way to reinitialize the download process.  Now, I have a WLM and my primary email account has only the input folder.  I can find no way to start the download with choices again.  I've even uninstalled WLM and reinstalled.  On the reinstall I just have WLM with an input folder. No more opportunities to download all the account.  Is there a way to reinstall I with the prompt to download all the account?  This is an IMAP account.

Thanks,

Ctmsenior

WLM 2012 will not receive mail from any of my POP3 (gmail, office365) accounts after upgrade to Windows 10.

It will send emails, and will work with an IMAP account, but when trying to receive emails it errors out.
Any ideas  what to do? I tried installing and reinstalling WLM2012.

Windows Live Mail will not send emails on VirginMedia email account !!!

Using Windows 10

I believe that VirginMedia email accounts are hosted by Gmail.

WLM receives email on this account OK.

WLM has worked perfectly with this account for the last four years, and then suddenly this problem appears:

"

An Unknown error has occured

Server: 'smtp.blueyonder.co.uk'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8007007A

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 465

Secure (SSL): Yes

"

We tried telling it to "Repair all Windows Essentials" Programs, allowed the very first Test email to be sent, but then the problem reoccurred for all subsequent emails.

Uninstalling and reinstalling WLM did not solve the problem

I'd be most grateful for suggestions on how to fix this problem please.

Using Outlook 2011 for Mac.  I keep getting this message:

Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry of the inconvenience.

I've checked for updates and there are no updates.  Suggestions

I just downloaded Live Essentials to get Photo Gallery and Movie Maker. However, when I try to start Photo Gallery, I get a message saying that Windows SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition is not installed on my computer, and gives me a button to go to the download center. When I click on it, I get a "Page Not Found" message. I did a couple of searches and I saw that back in April 2005 Server was no longer supported and had been replaced by something else (sorry, I don't remember what it was). So, when I tried to download the replacement, I got the same "Page Not Found" message. I called Windows Help Desk, which was a complete failure, because the guy I talked to completely ignored everything I told him and wanted me to open msconfig. I did as he asked, which did nothing at all, then he tried to sell me some sort of computer maintenance plan. All I really need is either this SQL 2005 program, or some sort of successor program that will let Photo Gallery run. I appreciate any help anyone can give me. I have did several searches, both on Microsoft and Google, and I feel like a dog chasing his tail. Putting forth a lot of effort, but getting nowhere.

I have several rules setup to divert incoming mail to folders. The rules refer to folders that I can't find in Mail on the left hand side. The rule still thinks the folders are active, not RED.

How do I find these folders? How do I search?

I am having trouble with my company signature when using Facebook & Instagram icons/hyperlinks.  Signature with company logo looks good until we add the links.  I double spaces the lines and our company logo goes semitransparent.  The signature looks correct on my Mac but if I email a Windows user it looks terrible.  Any ideas?

Should look like this:

But changes to this:
