Question about Outlook Express

Since Microsoft have started to upgrade accounts for those using Windows Live Mail, I have been migrating my customers to use imap.  However, this is proving incredibly frustrating.  Many customers are experiencing frequent timeouts and disconnects.  They have duplicate special folders and sometimes when an email is sent, the sent email is duplicated in the Sent folder.  Today I have set a customer up and their delete folder doesn't work.  When an email is deleted, it simply dissapears, it isn't placed in the deleted items folder?!

This is incredibly frustrating, since it appears entirely random.  I have set people up in the exact same way.

I have also had to spend a large amount of time finding "corrupt" emails.  Some customers have over 30,000 emails in the account going back to 2004.  Not only does resynchronising this take a lot of time, no matter how fast your broadband (100Mbps here), but some of the earlier emails caused errors during download, so I have had to use the webmail to locate the email and either delete or move to another folder which I dont sync with WLM to continue the email sync.

Does any one know what the correct special folders should be?  As mentioned above, I sometimes get duplicate folders, or one called Sent, and one called Sent Items.  Sent Items might be the special folder name, but sent emails actually go to the sent folder, and not Sent Items.

Although this case was reported a year ago, I started having the same problem with my account this morning.

As a family of 4, we share computers. In the windows live mail, we have account set up for each of us. But this morning, I found out that while my daughter and my husband's email worked as normal, my son's and mine stopped working with the exact errors displayed.

I would say it actually already stopped working last night since an outgoing email I tried to send before midnight never went out.

I decided to remove and re-add my own account. Well, a bad move I regretted. Now my account is dead, no syncing, not active at all. If I try to re-send the message, it would complain the sender email is invalid.

I have been with hotmail for so many years, and I have already encouraged my kids to stick to Microsoft simply because I personally liked it even though I've seen enough bad things. Now with this happening, I am really getting sick of it.

I don't like the new Mail with Windows 10. Looks fancy, but I hate it. I want something simple and straightforward, I don't need any fancy background, it doesn't add any value and is no fun. That is why I chose to stick to Windows live mail. Now I don't know what to do.

Now first off , i want to make sure to whomever replies that i am not using the Web Based Email  , i am using Windows Live Mail version 2009 ON MY PC , as i have seen several posts about this and replies are given to work around this using IMAP ONLINE  , i do not use ONLINE webpage based email

With that said , i just got this error and can't receive emails for my Hotmail account  , i do not like nor do i want to "convert" to Outlook  , its the same crappy Outlook it was in Windows 95  , it looks like garbage and its functionality is less than useless

With that said  , how can i get/force/make my Windows Live Mail v.2009 work on my Windows 7 Pro  PC again (not online Outlook , or anything else online) i want it to open and work within my Windows 7 PC as it has prior to today

Any "helpful" suggestions or answers as to how to get what i currently have , working again , as i do not want to "migrate" to junk" that Microsoft is trying to FORCE its customers to use  , i don't want it , and will not use it  , it's just like Windows 10 (which i will never switch to) , its functionality is poor at best and its just a outdated product that i never liked in the 90's and i like it less now , especially since its the same clunky poorly designed junk email program it was back then  , how Microsoft considers this as a "upgrade" is beyond me  , its a downgrade (Windows 10 and Outlook)

So as i mentioned  , does anyone have any HELPFUL suggestions or preferably a FIX to get my Live Mail working again , as it did before today without using some "online" web based email  ???

Any Help that does not direct me to how to fix OUTLOOK ONLINE would be appreciated  , as i don't use Outlook and i don't get my email thru webpages  , so i need a reply that is pertinent to my actual issue using Live Mail within my PC (a program  not a online webpage based email)

Every time i click HELP in Windows Live Mail to find a solution , it directs me to sign in to a Outlook Web Based email , and i refuse to use it , and it gives no HELP to the actual issue or error , so like usual Help is no help at all
