I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, both 64 bit. I also have plenty of hard drive space and 12 gig ram.
I tried loading photos from my Nikon camera to Photo Gallery but I keep getting the msg. that Photo Gallery has stopped working and will restart. I received a reply from a Microsoft tech to repair Essentials 2012 but when I followed the steps first of all, I saw that I have Essentials 2011 not 2012. I tried the repair anyway and the green progress bar gets almost to the end then the message there is no internet connection. I checked and sure enough there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. I retried with the same results.
Checking possible troubleshooting solutions at the Microsoft site I saw that Essentials 2012 is the correct version to use with Win 10. If this is the case, can I delete 2011 and install 2012 and if so, how do I do this correctly? Thanks. Tom
My Windows 10 Photo Gallery program will not work and appears to be effecting the Windows Messenger, When I attempt to open Photo Gallery I receive the error 0x8007045a saying that some parts for this program are missing. Can you help with this problem?

A couple days ago Windows Live mail suddenly stopped sending my emails, they are in the outbox. I can receive emails but not send. I get the error:
The connection to the server has failed.
Subject 'test'
Server: 'mail.mchsi.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10060
Nothing has changed in the settings and I can send my emails when going online directly to my email provider (Medicom). but no longer through Windows Live Mail.
When I contacted Microsoft support I was told that Windows Live Mail is obsolete and no longer supported???
Under the Advance tab :
My outgoing email is SMTP port 25
Incoming is POP3 110
the "server requires a secure connection" is not checked.

I recently changed email server from @shaw.ca to @telus.ca. In the process I lost all the data stored under the @shaw.ca inbox: my archived email folders, my 150+ contact list and my calendar with reminders. How can I retrieve the data found in the @shaw.ca inbox?
