Good afternoon! I'm having trouble using email. The message below appears when you try to verify the arrival of new mail. Sending messages works normally. And the messages arrive when you turn on or restart the PC, meanwhile any message after that does not arrive. "You can not send or receive messages from your account. Timeout timed out when communicating with the server. Server: 'pop.uhserver.com' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC19 Protocol: POP3 Door: 110 Secure (SSL): No " For a better understanding of the situation I put the information from the PC below. Windows 7 -Windows Live mail 2012 POP3 Incoming Server  Incoming Emails (POP3): pop.uhserver.com - Port 587 Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.uhserver.com - Port 110 Could someone tell me the ideal way to solve the problem? I'm waiting.

Split from this thread.

this is the error message I receive when trying to send an e- mail  Subject 'test', Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', Server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 SIZE 41943040', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D

Right-click on the account name in the folder pane and select Properties. On the Advanced tab, deselect This server requires a secure connection (SSL). On the Servers tab, ensure that My server requires authentication is selected.

Hi Noel,

I tried doing this and it did not send the email (though curiously my WLM is able to receive).

Error message:

A time-out occurred while communicating with the server.

Subject 'Let Us Try Again'
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC19
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 465
Secure(SSL): No

Hello:  Is Hotmail still in existence?  I keep getting a box which says "Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail account..."

Also, for a long time when I clicked on the Send and Receive box and then clicked on my default account, which is another account, not Hotmail, I would get a box asking me for my pass code.  I no longer get that.  Is it safe to proceed without entering my password?

And, can I just somehow transfer everything in to Windows 10 email?   I have Windows 10 and so far I seem to be doing ok with it.

My goal is to have a simple, reliable email account which I can use quickly and easily.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

https://opm.myidcare.com/cyberscan reports that my phone number was compromised by a hotmail account that I did not create.  It appears that hotmail is commingled with other Microsoft services and deletion of the hotmail account, assuming it can be done, may have undesirable consequences.  What are the relationships, how could the account be created without my knowledge, and how can I delete just the hotmail email without compromising anything else?

I want to use windows live mail instead of outlook but I have ONE BIG PROBLEM....I had to change the setting to IMAP instead of POP and it seems in doing so when i delete an email it does NOT go to the deleted folded it just vanishes.  I have my hotmail and gmails mail all come to this program and hotmail is the only one doing this.  ACK!!! I sometimes delete too fast and with this I can not recover...Why can't they just leave a good program alone.  Is there a setting I need to change to KEEP deleted emails in the folder till I WANT TO DELETE THEM?

Since Monday Nov.7th I am not able to send or reply to any emails with my windows Live Mail.  I have Windows 10.  My internet provider suggested that I speak with you.

I am also unable to send or receive with my Hotmail account.   Nothing but problems so it has been suggested to me that I set up a new email account & forget about Live Mail.  Totally frustrated.
