Question about Outlook Express

My WLM on Windows 7 will not open due to an error.

Tried system restore but did not help.

Tried uninstalling using wlarp.exe and reinstalling with Windows Live Installer but no joy.

My backup files are well out of date.

So thought to export contact list to Yahoo mail but where is it?

Last option is to change to Windows 10 but will it find  them?

I cannot get to this at all because of the error 0x800c0006 when trying to update in programs and features "Windows Essentials 2012' on a Windows 10 x64 PC. After a run of a few minutes (7- 10) I get this error. I am not talking about Windows Security Essential BUT Windows Essential (as it is listed in program and features). In the reply to DrStrangelove by ManwellC, I do not see how you got to this screeen from the error condition. When I run the 'change' in programs and features to Windows Essentials I only get as far as the mentioned error dialogue. Can anyone tell me how to fix this as the Mail ... Movie Maker and other apps / programs need a fix?

First, Will86 meant Windows Live Essentials. There is no second. I just disliked the condescending tone of the reply.

Windows Live Mail just said that "AUTHENTICATE failed".

How can I solve this problem?

Microsoft Picture Manager no longer prints photos in color. There is no selection shown for color, sepia or grey tone. This has only recently occurred & have been unsuccessful in correcting this problem. 

I have Windows 7 - in case that would make a difference in the answer to the problem. 

I appreciate any help given to finding a solution to this.

I'm having trouble importing email from WLM in Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, sp1 on old computer, to WLM on Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit, on new computer.  Can someone direct me to some KB or support article about this, please?  I've done some searching, but can't seem to find any info.
