In mid-August, I was moving files around in my SkyDrive account.  I would select all files or a subfolder then move them to a new folder.  I waited for confirmation that SkyDrive that files had been moved.  I then went to the empty folder to delete it.  After some research, it turns out that the files had not yet completed moving, so deleting the folder actually deleted the files and subfolders inside them.
