Hi,

Using a Mac (sorry...), I had sent this question on the Office for Mac forum at first but in vain.

I was told there to rather ask here. So here am I.

Drag and drop my e-mails into a Word file is something I did for years with no problem in Entourage (the "Outlook" in Office for Mac).

That simple gesture proved to be the BEST way to archive e-mails, and then find back my infos in no time.

But, now in Office 365 Family's Outlook, I juste can't drag and drop my e-mails from Outlook into a Word file anymore !

Why that ? I thought Office was an integrated suite...

Do you have solution ?

I've read a number of posts on how to use Time Machine for restoring Outlook and restored the Documents > Microsoft User Data folders, ran the Microsoft Database Utility and rebuilt my Main Identity.

Outlook 2011 comes back as I left it, less mail I saved to a folder on my computer.

How do I restore the mail that I had saved on my computer?

Thanks,

Bob

I am trying to restore an identity that contains much email and many folders and signatures from a Time Machine backup. I have tried many backups going back to April, and every one I restore and open demands a rebuild and every rebuild fails with error -18000. I am running a new install of Outlook for Mac 14.4.1 I just bought in April.

All was fine until June 19 when Outlook failed to open.

I needed email to work right away, so I created a new identity and it has been working fine, but would like the folders and messages back from the Time Machine backup.
Can any of you suggest solutions I have not seen on this board? I haven't seen any posts regarding 14.4.1 and none of the suggestions on this board have worked for me. I also tried a fix permissions, but that didn't seem to help.

When I copy the Catagories, or messages folder from the Time Machine backup the working identity, it fails to rebuild with error -18000.

Does anyone here know what 18000 actually means or where else in the logs I might find exactly what is failing on me?

Thank you,

I am running OS X 10.9.3 and the latest Outlook for Mac.  After it is open for a random amount of time anywhere between a few seconds and a couple of minutes, Outlook becomes completely unresponsive to user input.  It does seem to still perform background tasks like getting the read/unread state of email, but it will not do anything in response to user input.  I have tried deleting my identity and recreating it, and the problem still happens.  My only option seems to be to force-quit Outlook and start it again, many times a day.  Suggestions?

I send different mails during the day and this mails are in different languages, there is a icon to make easy change the languages?

I have discovered that for the last 2 weeks that a copy of sent emails is not showing in either my sent items folder or on webmail (I use go daddy.com). If I go into my sent items file and hit send / receive the note at the bottom of the page tells me that Outlook is "uploading 1/174" which tells me that nothing is going through.

My sent emails are actually getting to the recipients but the copy of the file is not showing and appears to be stuck between the server and my computer. I really need to have a copy of sent emails for record keeping purposes. Any suggestions as to how I fix this?

Thanks Warren

If the user click to sync manually it will sync but it will not automatically pull emails down. This is only an issue on Outlook for mac all other clients are working just fine.

I am trying to send an email out using Contact Groups. Some email addresses are in more than one group. How do I prevent the email from being sent to the same email address more than once? Is there a rule or setting that can control for this?
